10.30.15 | Seen 1, 3, Freddy's Dead, New Nightmare, and the reboot. I'd say 1 and 3 were my favs. New Nightmare gets a lot of praise but didn't do much for me personally. Wes Craven perfected the idea of "meta" horror when he did Scream.

10.30.15 | The whole "what if Freddy was real" thing in New Nightmare was at least a fresh idea in the series but kind of silly at the same time. Plus the phone call scene gave off too much of a Scream vibe which was lame. And I really don't feel like the remake deserves to be mentioned but if you insist then I'd put it last. |
