Lol, I just put the lengths in to add to my point really. The main thing is that albums with more tracks have an advantage over albums with tracks. So basically you could listen to an opeth album like 5 times and a grindcore album once and the grindcore album would be your most listened because of the ridiculous amount of tracks it has. So it really isn't a reliable way to keep track of album listens at all |

04.10.12 | I was actually just thinking about this a couple days ago. What I wanted to do was instead of dividing listens by number of tracks, I wanted to multiply play counts by track length. That way you'd have amount of time listened to each song, which would be compiled into a truly representative "Most Listened to Song/Album/Artist" in terms of actual time. That would be jut the thing for my music OCD. |
