| MyRamona's top 10 guitarists
My top 10 guitarists that have been carefully selected over time. | 1 | 'Fast' Eddie Clark
pure Rock 'n' Roll. the most genuine guitarist around. Eddie has awesoem technical knowledge, melodic lines, and best of all............he's FAST! | 2 | Slash
For being so beautifully melodic, with a real guitar hero attitude. | 3 | Joe Satriani
For being the undisputed guitar guru. Perfect use of blinding shred solo'd, and melodic songs that literally pour emotion from his guitar. | 4 | Kirk Hammet
Kirk has many technical devices to suite the occasion. Although he's not a great riffer, he's one of the most confident and stylish lead guitarists around. | 5 | Rivers Cuomo
The god of simple catchy rocking guitar riffs, and the most memorable solo's available for man to listen to. He's original and emotional, but not the most technically advanced guitarist in the world. | 6 | JerryC
He's an underground legendary guitarist at the tender age of 19. He can pull off the most advanced sweeps whilst keeping that cheesy piece of piss grin on his face. | 7 | Mark Knopfler
Sultans of swing, brothers in arms. Two of the most overwhelmingly emotional songs ever to be written. A waterfall of tears rolls from Knopflers pick-ups. | 8 | Graham Coxon
Fast changing, advanced chordy goodness. No one can make a chord progression like Coxon. | 9 | Zakk Wylde
For the pounding riffs that make you want to stamp your size 13 in the centre of the circle pit. He plays so heavy, but the blues element is very clear. Nearly every one of his solo's is downpicked. | 10 | Johnny Ramone
For always giving what he knows sounds good. Pure adrenalin, stamina and endurance. His right hand is a constant blur, A monsoon of sound. | |
Electric City
06.22.06 | River Cuomo!!! Ohh my hernia. Where the hell is Hendrix, Santana, Eddie Van Halen??? Johnny Ramone was lucky if he got to play four chords in a song. | south_of_heaven 11
06.22.06 | Damn right, Eddie Clarke at #1.
You know whats up. | Oddsen
06.22.06 | This is kinda a wierd list | The Door Mouse
06.22.06 | slash isnt better than satriani nor is hammet better than knofler | The Door Mouse
06.22.06 | if johnny ramone is 10 than kurt cobain is the best guitarist who ever lived | stinkypoptart
06.22.06 | haha
| Bron-Yr-Aur
06.22.06 | Believe it or not, there's more to being a guitar player than techincal abililty. Ramone could make his guitar roar like a friggin' beast. | BlackDeathMetalJazz or really ANYTHING else please-
06.22.06 | This is the worst list since the Rolling Stone tried to come up with one.
Iluvator: why are you so imature, very annoying, and not funny? | south_of_heaven 11
06.22.06 | Yea, just look at everything Eliminator says and he proves his point. | MyRamona
06.23.06 | What the hell is up with you lot? if we all rated being a good guitarist on technical ability then every list would be the same! I based it on originality, style, use of melodic devices, soul/passion, pure raw emotion, and yes, technical ability. I think a lot of you forgot that this is actually opinion based. This Message Edited On 06.23.06 | metallicaman8
06.23.06 | I would put Tom Morello and Hendrix on the list, and maybe clapton. | macman76
