01.17.11 | The new Batman should have Bane as the villain. Do at least SOME backstory, have him figure out his identity like in the comics, they fight and Bane injures Batman (doesn't necessarily have to break his back), Wayne either appoints/trains/whatever a new Batman or takes the opportunity to retire the cape. Trilogy is over (which is what Nolan's doing anyways). Although, if Tom Hardy IS going to be the villain, I don't really see him playing Bane - but of course, I would never have thought Ledger would play Joker like he did.

01.17.11 | No way it'll be the Bane injuring Batman saga, with Batty having to train a replacement - it's far too soon in the series (yeah it's Nolan's last but still), and Nolan specifically mentioned he would never bring robin into it. I even think Bale said he'd boycott the film if that was the case.
He's rumoured to be casting 2 female leads, 1 a love interest and the other a possible villain. My money's on him bringing in Catwoman and turning her into a complete psychopath and making her costume her way of "copying" or "emulating" Batman in an attempt to draw him out from the seclusion he's obviously gone into since the end of The Dark Knight |

There are Bane stories to tell without the back-breaking arc, just like there can be clayface with toned-down effects... I honestly think the 'one villain drawing him out of seclusion' plot will be a given, but my money would be on talia over catwoman... |
