04.18.11 | You think you have memories. A farm. A family. An airplane. A crash. And then this place. Was there really a family? Did that airplane crash, or, was it hijacked? Forced down, forced down by something less than a man, something bred to sleepwalk through life unless activated by a simple phrase, spoken by their kindly master... |

04.18.11 | I know of the connection between Atlas Shrugged and Bioshock, but the politics of Atlas Shrugged are infuriating. I love that Bioshock does little to hide the send-up |
Trebor.
04.18.11 | Bioshock Infinite is about American exceptionalism
It takes place on a floating city.
It doesn't come out until 2012. |

04.18.11 | "Atlas Shrugged was a vapid, over-blown excuse for a novel..."

04.18.11 | While I agree that Ayn Rand's views are a little hardcore and I don't really think anyone should believe in her way of life. My appreciation for her work isn't based on me believing in her ideals. It's like reading a book written by a serial killer.
So if you didn't care for Atlas Shrugged and that's based on Ayn Rand's "insane" philosophies. Try to step back and read it as a true spectator and remove the obvious affront you have to her beliefs.
Also, a list about Bioshock (considering Bioshock is based on Atlas Shrugged) isn't the best list to come in bashing the novel that inspired the game that many of these people enjoy. |
Electric City
04.18.11 | but isn't bioshock part critique of randian philosophy? |
tkxxx7
04.18.11 | according to the developers and writers, it's questioning some parts of her beliefs but also (like in the quote you have above) stating the validity of some of her beliefs |

"A season for all things, a time to live, and a time to die, a time to build, and a time to destroy."
"What use is our ideology if it is not tested?"
"Breathe deep, so later you might remember the taste".
So many amazing quotes from just this one character |
