Dots - Pieces for Percussion and Woodwinds
After 2017s grand and INCREDIBLE "Bells for the South Side" (which basically functioned as a who's who of Mitchells collaborators over the past 50 years at their best), this recording offers a much more intimate look at his sound world. Entirely made up of Roscoe's unique woodwind playing and self-made percussive "little instruments", this album feels like stalwart experimentation distilled into a cathartically private ceremony.

Seeing this live a few weeks after it's release was a stunningly memorable experience. Documentation never quite captures the energy this kind of music can offer, but her hour long exploration deserves some love however you can find your way into it.

Ascension Codes
Traced in Air has followed and led me for well over a decade now...this album as a spiritual successor suits where I am at with life, and hit me in all the most intense ways. Totally understand the lack of hype around here, but some things are just "right place, right time" - thanks Mr. Masvidal.
