How the hell can I get into these?
Struggling to get to the juiciness for years but failling horribly. I am badly craving to stick my teeth in, but remain confused, empty handed and with a bitter taste. There are multiple things that worked for me with other bands : seeing the band live (Moonspell) or even seeing a live show on video, Saint Vitus bar in New York is particularly great at that (Fell Voices); listening every day for weeks (Paradise Lost- Obsidian), getting the album to listen in at better quality than YT(Selbst) ; trying it again and again like once a year until it clicked (Darkthrone); seeing a video that gives a new perspective (Electric Wizard- the chosen few). One other thing I do but I am not sure it ever helped in getting into bands is to read reviews or lyrics whilst listening.
But nothing seems to work with these so far, I am not giving up on them though, I think the potential reward is too good to miss out. Any album/song recommendation to insist on is welcomed. Or maybe different methods. |

Not sure why this does not work. Paysage D'hiver works very well for me. Maybe I don't like space that much as it often asks for some electronic gimmickry but cannot put my finger on it as this one is pretty organic in terms of production as far as I can tell. |
