All of my reviews (so far) ranked best to worst

I've only spent a relatively short time on the site, but I already feel like I've made some progress on my reviews, so I figured I'd see which ones I still like and which ones I don't.
1Adjy
June Songs Vol. 1

I feel like if this rev was good enough to get featured and make Sowing's best user reviews of June list, it's good enough to make the top of my list. I love this review to death, if for no other reason than that it's concise enough to state its point and be pretty about it, without sounding overly flowery.
2Tallah
The Generation of Danger

Written to provide a counter to a very negative 3.5 review, I'm pretty happy that this managed to stand on its own. I get a bit pretentious over a nu-metal album, but I think Tallah deserve it, so it's justified in my eyes.
3Kenshi Yonezu
diorama

Recency bias aside, this is one of the first reviews where I made a conscious effort to weave the album's sound in with the historical context surrounding the artist, and for that, I'm so proud of what I did here. I say historical like this is a decades old album, when it came out in 2012, but you know what I mean
4Foo Fighters
But Here We Are

But Here We Are is the other album where I wove in the background events surrounding the project. I think ghostalgeist described this review pretty well. "Solid, airtight review" is pretty much what I was going for, nothing more to say than that
5Rush
Clockwork Angels

My favorite Rush album of all time, and the superior of the two Rush reviews I've done. I definitely let my bias show here, but it's a solid review overall, especially considering it was only the third one I'd written for Sput
6Coheed and Cambria
Vaxis II: A Window of the Waking Mind

In which I try to sell the idea that a poppy Coheed is a good Coheed. I do wish I had compared this one with Color Before the Sun a bit more, but that would've required me listening to CBTS again, since I don't remember much of this album. I should also point out that this is the murky middle of the list where I like the reviews, but don't love them like I do my top 5.

Mannequin

I don't like writing negative reviews. I actually prefer to be a positive guy (just look at my objectivity score). But man(nequin), this album disappointed me. I feel like I may have been a bit too harsh on an album that got the ranking of "average", but aside from that, this one's pretty good. My only other gripe is that I wish I had more to say about the album, but the album also didn't give me much to say, so...
8Celldweller
Satellites

Another negative-ish review, that may have been tainted by my love for Celldweller taking a slight hit in the wake of the fallout with Blue Stahli, and the Reddit post I linked in the comments. As Willie pointed out, it's hearsay, but considering the FIXT market fuckery and the delays of Obsidian, I feel a bit more willing to accept the stuff linked in the post as truth. Even aside from that, I may have underestimated this album's staying power. After writing the review, I found that I had Soul Parasites stuck in my head. It's definitely a catchy album, but my flawed perception of the artist caused me to accentuate the negatives here. I won't listen to the album again, but I can see why someone would 3.5 or even 4 this one.
9The Anix
Hologram

One of my shorter reviews, and one that I only see as okay. There's no grand statements to be made here, it was just a really, really fun album
10Utsu-P
UNIQUE

Ah, VocaMetal. What a fun little niche genre. Shame that my review isn't my best, and I don't know why. Maybe it's that I thought this was the best album Utsu-P had produced so far? Yeah, that's a ridiculous statement, and one that I no longer agree with when Moksha and Algorithm exist. Furthermore, a lot of the tracks on this album have sorta faded from my mind. The album doesn't have as much staying power as I thought. This review was kinda me going fanboy mode, and... yeah, not my best work.
11Rush
Hold Your Fire

I was definitely still finding my footing here. 2 years removed from my first review, I write about an album that means a lot to me, and do so with clunky prose, and very obvious bias (I still think a bad Rush song is better than a bad song from another band, but that's the kind of thing that doesn't really belong in a review). I don't hate it, but I'm not the proudest of it
12HimeHina
Divine Flowers

Now this review? I despise this one. I despised it even after submitting it, so much so that it took me 2 years to do another review, because I had to get better at it. It's a poorly disguised track-by-track that quickly runs out of things to say about the album by paragraph 2. I really wish I could delete this rev from the site, and the only reason it stays is so I can remind myself what not to do ever again in a review.
