Stuff I bought, vol. 7

Had a bit of a break from buying records, but over a month, decided to buy a few. Hopefully this tiny bit of support will help some bands in this strange and sad period. Most a new, one is embarassingly essential, all are progressive and/or depressive.
1Porcupine Tree
In Absentia

It was 2001 when a friend I met at a camp informed me that he gets tickets free to various concerts in the Polish ''3'' Radio Station studio. A legendary radio station, which organized legendary concerts. He told me he had two tickets to a Porcupine Tree concert. I was very young and couldn't attend for various reasons, but the band's name stayed in my head. He later showed me a drumstick that he caught. A few years later the concert came out on an official CD, ''Warszawa''. Too bad I wasn't there. Anyway, as of lately I am going throughr a ''progressive'' phase, which seems that it will stick with me, I decided to fill some holes in my collection- this certainly was one of the bigger ones... Love the album and can listen to it on replay all day.
2Psychotic Waltz
The God-Shaped Void

I discovered this band through a review of this album, which is very late, considering that they're playing since the 80's... The album is getting very high notes everywhere, but, intrigued, I decided to have a look at their back-catalogue, and I think I might like their earlier work a little more. Oh well, I'm sure the album itself will grow on me. The earlier stuff sometimes sounded like Jethro Tull/ Voivod/ Black Sabbath, which appeals to me very much.
3Katatonia
City Burials

I am a big fan of Katatonia, but started regularly buying their albums only since the last one. The moment I start buying albums regularly (not only various back-catalogue records), means that the band has become a smaller or larger part of my life. I had certain doubts, but I just needed to listen to a bit of one of the singles to buy it straight of. It's still in the post, but I can't wait to listen to it in it's whole entirety.
4Paradise Lost
Obsidian

Similar story as Katatonia, started regularly buying their albums from the last one, Medusa. Really liked it, but it seemed to lack something. Hearing a few songs from Obsidian, I think I see that that lacking element has been established. Also in the post, but I know already that it's going to be an awesome listen.
