SlothcoreSam
02.09.20 | Let me know if I got any genres wrong, I listened to a lot outside of comfort zone. |
Coast
02.09.20 | What do you do in the Arctic? I’ve just been beach swimming. |
SlothcoreSam
02.09.20 | Listen to music, lol.
I got a Fat bike, usually hit up the mtb trails when it's warmer than minus 20. |
Coast
02.09.20 | Nice, so you’re there for a trip or some kind of work? |
rellik009
02.09.20 | you're... in the Arctic... holy guacamolee...
|
rellik009
02.09.20 | amazing list by the way, and you got most of the genres right. At least, on the ones I know |

02.09.20 | what kind of work tho? Is it some sort of scientific research? |
garas
02.09.20 | That 3.0 on Naiv... come on, Sam! :/ |
Pangea
02.09.20 | I heard 2 after you voted on it on the album of the month list and it's cool stuff. I will check some more on this list |
SlothcoreSam
02.09.20 | @Pangea, yeah The Tissues are great, i think a lot of the post punk crowd on Sput would dig it.
@Garas, I'll give Naiv another spin, see if it resonates this time.
@rellik, nah nothing cool like that, i work at the local health Centre, dealing a lot with mental health and alcohol abuse. Big problem up here, especially amongst the first nations. Generational trauma, residential schools and loss of culture, language and identify is a major factor. |
mynameischan
02.09.20 | damn dude, will definitely have to look into some of these |
EphemeralEternity
02.09.20 | Is mathgaze what I suspect is it |
SlothcoreSam
02.09.20 | @ EE, yeah the band classifies themselves as Post Everything Mathgaze. It's mathy post hardcore with a splash of emo.
@Chan, you might like Sløtface, and Tabarnak are the first punk band I've heard sing in Hebrew. |
EphemeralEternity
02.09.20 | I don’t believe I’ve heard a single album from this decade yet so maybe that can be my first |
SlothcoreSam
02.09.20 | Good luck with it EE, let me know what you think. |
WatchItExplode
02.09.20 | Sloth ilu...will you just pick the new releases I should listen to each week? Lots of intriguing stuff I wasnt aware of, as per usual. |

SlothcoreSam
02.10.20 | Hey Rogue9, there is a lot on here you might like, try 1,7,8 and 14 to start. |
RogueNine
02.10.20 | Sweet, Caspian is hit and miss for me but I've been meaning to check Yuri. |
WatchItExplode
02.10.20 | Damn, that Tissues singer is the real deal. |
SlothcoreSam
02.10.20 | Yeah her vocal range is excellent, and the songs themselves are a lot of fun. |
WatchItExplode
02.10.20 | She goes unhinged in a very controlled manner if that makes sense. Checked several of these; Slotface is pretty great. |
SlothcoreSam
02.10.20 | Yeah sløtface is great too, half the album is a 5, but some tracks let it down. |
JohnnyoftheWell
02.10.20 | Heck these are a lot of albums for a low, low temperature. Hope you're cold enough that your next shower is a top 10 best shower ever |
SlothcoreSam
02.10.20 | We do have running hot water Johnny. :)
But if you really want I can rank my top 10 shower experiences for you. |
Minushuman24

SlothcoreSam

Since you've already checked out Tissues and Partition. You should jump on Sløtface, Shit Kid and RAT BOY.

Dewinged
02.13.20 | Dude this is amazing lol I did this kind of list couple of years ago, 25 albums per week. By March I was burnt out though. First month was fun though, although there were a lot of 2.5 and 3s. |
SlothcoreSam
02.13.20 | Thanks dewinged, I'll think I'll probably burn out too, but will try and keep it up. As long as i keep on hearing musical Viagra I'll be up for the challenge.
Yeah i had another 60 albums that were 3 or less for Jan. |
Pangea
03.09.20 | i love 7. very explosions in the sky but it has enough going for it to prevent from being too generic. i really like that it is pretty short. post rock has sometimes the tendency to meander a bit too much, this is nice and concise |
SadSquad
06.05.20 | This list goes |
WatchItExplode
06.05.20 | Most useful q1 list...where q2 sloth? |
SlothcoreSam
06.05.20 | Hey, it was a January list. Lol.
