03.21.21 | I struggled to connect to anything new in music at the time in 2001. My first distinct realisation that music was starting to turn. Everything had been done and said and was just a repetition of what had gone before.
I give it credit though because likewise with you doof my tastes really started to expand. I think I really stated to understand Joy Division around this time.
As it stands now my fave song from 2001 is Opeth - Bleak. (I’d have thought it was alright back then, possibly even a bit shite)

03.21.21 | Zak I think 2006-2008 were the darkest times for music for me, almost became a secondary hobby at that stage and I hardly bought any CDs which wasn’t like me. Also rarely bothered with gigs or festivals.
Honestly can’t remember what my life was about then - end of my first serious relationship but was stuck living in the same flat for a further 5 years near Brixton. Had three flings with girls from work...I am starting to come to the conclusion they might have been my most dickish years lol |
