Industrial Metal: A Marriage Made In...
To me, it all started in the late 1980's/early 1990's with Nine Inch Nails (Pretty Hate Machine, Broken) and Ministry (The Mind is a Terrible Thing to Taste, Psalm 69). Those two bands, along with these landmark and formative albums, paved the way for a commercially-viable synthesis of metal and industrial. For many years, this was one of (if not) my favorite subgenres of metal. The list that follows is my favorite 25 Industrial Metal bands to date, as well as the album that I find to be their strongest expression. As always, please feel free to throw out some recs...always like to hear bands I have not heard before. |
