09.20.18 | Haha it actually was my number 1 for years. But a few months back I threw WP on having not listened to it for quite awhile and it’s brilliance just grabbed ahold of me again. It’s a perfect album. The cohesion, the dread, the feel that some sinister story is taking place — it’s fucking haunting and a masterpiece. I absolutely love s/t but it’s not perfect. That said, it’s imperfections are partly what I love about it and what gives it its distinct feel. |

09.21.18 | I mean...I like it alright. It’s not bad. But compared to the other songs (save for Pink Cellphone) and just Deftones songs in general, it’s very bland and forgettable. And part of it is just straight up disappointment. I mean — Serj Tankian on a Deftones track??? And THIS is what we get?! I was expecting something crazy and crazy good. Just a bit of a waste imo. |
