5 Records I Cannot Get Into

You know those albums you want to fall for yet no matter how much time you give them you simply cannot love them? It doesn't happen often but here are a couple of those records for me. In no particular order.
1Mae
The Everglow

There are some great songs on here (i.e. "Suspension" and "The Ocean") and I'd contend that the record is good but I've never been moved by it the same way others have.
2Kings Kaleidoscope
Beyond Control

I know the Christian community swoons over this band but I personally struggle to enjoy them. I liked their debut record well enough but everything after it (this and that mixtape from last year) I have not been able to get into at all. Appreciate maybe, but not enjoy.
3Bon Iver
22, A Million

For Emma is gorgeous and so is Bon Iver, Bon Iver. I've tried with this one, even bought a physical copy of it, but the electronic flourishes smother any kind of atmosphere it could have had. The second half fares a bit better but as a whole....I think I'll put it away for a time and hopefully it'll magically click for me a year later. I think the problem is that rarely does autotune work for me and this isn't one of those times where it does.
4Thrice
Vheissu

I've bought three Thrice records, The Artist in the Ambulance, this, and their latest one and I find them all quite boring. I guess Thrice is another one of those bands I appreciate but don't find myself enjoying. I can see that Vheissu has elements of a fantastic record and I like a handful of songs but I don't understand how anyone can find the choruses to songs like "Between the End and Where We Lie" to be anywhere near engaging.
5Young the Giant
Home Of The Strange

I genuinely like this band. Mind Over Matter was one of my favourite records of 2014 and I've heard even more praise for this one. But really, it's just a bit of a sleeper.
