12.03.17 | I'd maybe add The Ship Song, but that's just me. Tight list. |
JohnnyoftheWell
12.03.17 | Loom of the Land, Darker With the Day and Hiding All Away tend to get overlooked, so good to see them up here - nice list! |

12.03.17 | 45 is a tune and a half |

12.03.17 | most of his songs are pearls. missing The Ship Song, Wide Lovely Eyes, God Is in the House and The Kindness of Strangers imo. |

12.03.17 | Kindness of Strangers landed in #51. Ship Song almost made it too. Thanks for your feedback! |

12.03.17 | Good to see some love for the Cave on this site. Saw him in concert back in october. Was utterly fantastic. |

12.03.17 | You've done the job right |

12.04.17 | pretty much all of his songs are gems. i'd have more Henry's Dream and Murder Ballads content towards the front of the list, but it's hard to rank something this consistently good. |

12.04.17 | good picks. I Need You and Distant Sky would be on mine for sure |
osmark86
12.04.17 | oh totally forgot Distant Sky, that song nearly brought me to tears performed live. never been a fan of I Need You although I can understand that it goes down with a lot of fans. |

12.04.17 | I guess it’d be hard to find any list I’d disagree with because basically all his songs rule, but The Carny? That like the only Cave song I cannot stand. |
Rowan5215
12.04.17 | agreed os. I caught him live at the Opera House on the Skeleton Tree tour - Distant Sky and Girl in Amber you could have heard a pin drop in the 1000+ audience |

12.04.17 | haha yeah The Carny really isn't that great. almost on par with Jangling Jack as an unfortunate side-step on otherwise perfect outings.
@Row: yes exactly, totally quite during those songs. goosebumps galore. |

12.04.17 | Wow, I'm kinda surprised by the lack of love for The Carny. I didn't like it at first but it has grown on me a lot to become one of my favorites. It's one of Cave's most vivid lyrics and one of the Bad Seeds more harrowing instrumentals, I'd say.
After seeing Wings Of Desire it's hard not to love it though. |

12.04.17 | Must admit that I'm not generally a huge fan of their rawer more post-punky earlier sound with a few notable exceptions. It's not a bad song by any means, it just hasn't touched me the same way some of his material from the 80s onwards has. |
osmark86
12.04.17 | By 80s I meant late 80s early 90s ^^ |

12.04.17 | This would be very hard to put together. Good job. We clash a lot here, but Henry's Dream is my favorite Cave album so that's to be expected. Plus, with such a big body of work, it's hard to make a consensus list. |

12.04.17 | I want to do this but my top 50 Cave songs would change every day. |
osmark86
12.04.17 | I agree, it's a tough endeavour putting a top 50 together by an artist with such an extremly consistant, and long, career. |
