My 2nd list of last discovered albums
Another list (or lee-osssst!) of my last discovered albums. Had to do it because of Sleepmakeswaves - Love Of Cartography. As last time I will write down my own rating |
1 | | sleepmakeswaves Love of Cartography
9.8. Yes it's a classic after only 5 days of listening. I don't want to leave the world this album takes me to. The average rating on this site is wrong, this is clearly a 4.5 average album. It will even have a greater impact on me in autumn, if that's even possible! |
2 | | The Cure Disintegration
9.1. Should have checked it out much earlier. Another great goth album with many songs even going into the dark wave direction, like The Same Deep Water As You. |
3 | | Finch Say Hello to Sunshine
8.5. Great song structures, this is what I want post-hardcore to be. |
4 | | Explosions in the Sky The Earth is Not a Cold Dead Place
8.3. Only listened to it once and it's already great. |
5 | | Zevious Passing Through The Wall
8.2. I'm thankful I bought this as mp3-album from amazon.de. only 9,99 euro, very cheap. It's very complex and I love how the instruments sound and the production. |
6 | | Trisomie 21 Passions divisees
8.0. I want to discover more cold wave, only know a few, much more a dark wave fanatic. |
7 | | Crowbar The Serpent Only Lies
8.0. Finally I know all 11 Crowbar albums. |
8 | | The Band Stage Fright
7.9. My first of this band! I really like that album. |
9 | | Zeller Turbulences
7.4. Should listen to it more. Nice sounds. |
10 | | Cocteau Twins Head Over Heels
6.3. I love Victorialand but this album is a let down so far. Sometimes too repetitive choruses. |
11 | | Soft Cell Non-Stop Erotic Cabaret
6.2. Same here with sometimes too repetitive choruses. But I Still love early to mid 80's british new wave & synthpop |
12 | | Static-X Shadow Zone
6.2. As expected, generic and predictable song structures but I somehow still like industrial nu metal (Powerman 5000 - Tonight The Stars Revolt for example). |
13 | | VNV Nation Noire
4.5. Started great with the first song, but from the middle on Ronan just throws this album into the bin with extreme predictability. Matter + Form will always be a classic to me, Futureperfect and Empires are amazing too. |
