Beyond Creation - I really tried with this band but nothing was able to captivate me beyond Omnipresent Perception
Obscura - another possible honorable mention, I like them, just not as much as others on the list
Spawn of Possession - same as Obscura really (not in sound but what I said about it)
Nile - was never able to grab me, too much brutal not enough melody I think
Fleshgod Apocalypse - I'm a fan, another possible honorable mention, maybe with more listens I'll like them more
Allegaeon - they do the Inferi thing but just not as good, is my take on it
First Fragment - I find the guitar pinch harmonics annoying after a while, the songwriting has never been able to captivate me in a huge way |

Slugdge has more of a proggier sound, I know older Slugdge maybe is a bit more straight brutal death. The standard brutal death is not my favorite and Nile has never grabbed me. |
