Pragmatic answer: The first disc is beyond flawless start to finish, the second disc has a few songs that clearly outweigh the others. (In reference to Stars of the Lid And Their Refinement of the Decline)

The original 60s version has perfect production, but the record company censored multiple lyrics behind the band's back. 2. The 80s remaster restores the censored lyrics, but ruins the production by making it sound too clean and 80s and Chad Wackerman dubbs over the original drums with his robotic technical shlock drumming. 3. 2000s remaster tries to fix this by marrying 60s production with the uncensored lyrics and gets it to be at it's best yet, but... 4. Later on, some fan mixed it better, and it's embarrassing that some fan did a better job remastering it than professional mixers. Thank god I have this version.
loveisamixtape 06.21.20	ok fine, souvlaki should not have ended with dagger, it’s a great song, but a questionable closer i had the torrented version of it in like 2010 and thought for years that the last song on the album was country rain, bc I guess my torrent had the 5 ep attached to the end, but also weirdly the some velvet morning cover. still my #1 but country rain will always be the real closer

"Endless, Nameless" ^ This is the back half of the album. MAYBE Lounge Act or Endless can be construed as slightly weaker songs, but otherwise it's all killer no filler.

Maniac! 06.22.20	Godspeed Y!BE - F#A# Infinity fits a very specific mood and is so sprawling that it makes it difficult to sit and appreciate it as often as I'd like to. It's probably my favorite album if I had to pick one, but it's also an album I listen to very little.

(Sorry Cult of Luna - Mariner) 1) The Pliable Foe should have been on the album's tracklist. 2) I love love love how this album is dripping in a murky, dreamlike atmosphere but that also ends up working against it. It sort of aimlessly floats about and it's not until the last two tracks that we really get a coherent sense of direction.
