I think this can influence the artists we listen to and how we consume music, thus creating a sort of unwritten constitution we abide by. Was just some food for thought. |

To form a fair and honest opinion on something, you'd ideally want to approach with impartiality, attentiveness and an open-mind. That doesn't always seem to be the case on this site tho. Listening to music doesn't make you special, it doesn't make you superior, and it doesn't give you a personality. It's utterly meaningless. My point with the list is this: How many bands have you passed over because they're hated on this site? How many albums have you jammed an inordinate amount of times because it didn't "click" with you like it did with everyone else? Have you considered the possibility you're lying to yourself about loving or hating something? For a music website, open and honest discussion is important. I'm just wondering how much we actually have. |

Me with 90% of my genericore tastes. Ratings can slightly influence if I want to listen to the album, but it usually doesn't affect my enjoyment of said album.
