By no means am I deep into the vast genre that is country, but what I've found I like I enjoy quite a bit. These are my favorites of the genre that I've come across - please rec similar artists/albums!
I know it's really recent but this is probably my favorite country release. Everything about it is done so well - from the smorgasbord of styles to the lyrics that manage to express contemporary anxieties while maintaining that traditional mood. Thank you Mr. Childers!

Maybe debatable as to if you can call it "country" amongst the more traditional-sounding stuff on here but I'll be damned if Farewell Transmission isn't one of the greatest songs ever written. Really captures a hard-to-describe feeling
