Yeah this goes hard af. Fantastic atmosphere, intense passion, and real good riffs. I’m digging the Jew harp, too. It didn’t really amaze me that much, but it was a quality listen for sure. 4.1
3Caladan Brood
Echoes Of Battle

UniqueUniverse
Like Saor... but better. Epic, folky, highly instrumental album that’s cheesy in all the right ways. Yes, it is repetitive and too long, but it was actually quite a bit of fun. 3.9
4Altar of Plagues
Teethed Glory and Injury

cryptologous
Well, that was... interesting. Experimental-ish post black metal that makes you feel like absolute filth. Everything is awesome, but it just didn’t click with me. It failed to engage me for its entirety, unfortunately. Not an album for me, perhaps, but still really good. 3.65
5Blut Aus Nord
The Work Which Transforms God

coldheaven
Now I know why this has such a high average. Stellar musicianship, even better songwriting skills, and reaaallly awesome vocals. It didn’t reach eargasmic levels, but it got damn close at doing so (which is incredibly admirable as is). I’m loving the atmosphere as well. What’s not to absolutely love, really? 4.3

Transylvanian Dreams

ScuroFantasma
Riffs for you, you, and you! Riffs till infinity combined with some kickass (not overly) lo-fi production and an ethereal atmosphere that makes me feel like I’m caught between a dream and a nightmare. Utterly fantastic. 4.35
7Cultes des Ghoules
Henbane

Astral Abortis
Riffs for days! Yeah, this is pretty awesome. It even surprised me occasionally. Sad part is these guys really struggle to keep the album interesting on the second half. Honestly, the second half is pretty boring, but the first few songs are all class. 3.85

Sacrilegio

worthlessscab
Extremely raw, extremely lo-fi, extremely heavy. Not bad at all, but not my thing. I like my lo-fi atmospheric, and this was just destructive. If you’re into raw BM of the heavy kind, definitely check this. 3.5
9Sammath
Godless Arrogance

bbgames
The best way to describe this is blackened grind. From start to end, you get blasted to the face with schizophrenic riffs and plenty of speed. However, it does get grating after a while, but it was a fun listen. I certainly didn’t expect anything like it. 3.5
10Thantifaxath
Sacred White Noise

Drifter
Dude what the actual hellllllll this is some insane frantic experimental shit like whaaaaaaaaa feels like you’re being sucked into space through your subconscious while dying of starvation oh my gahhhhd just the atmosphere and the instruments and the vocals ughghhg 4.6 (with a chance of bumping)

TheSpirit
Yeah this is sweet. The riffs, although melodic, are destructive in nature. I feel like I’m in the sea, drowning in an oddly humbling way. Songwriting to the max. Fantastic rec. 4.1

Transcendance

Archelirion
Just awesome, man. This pretty much covers a huge spectrum of BM in just 20 minutes and uses it all aptly and well. The album flows really nicely, too. Everything is awesome, but it missed that “wow” factor for me. 3.9
13Oathbreaker
Rheia

ZombieToyDuck
Blackened post-hardcore done right. The melodies are fantastic and you can really tell the band has quite the harmonic awareness. The female vox are just an amazing touch. However, the song formula is often repeated, so the album lacks variety. 3.95
14Saor
Aura

kingdedethefifth
Real cool modern BM. I love the soaring vocals and the instrumentation is awesome. However, it does feel repetitive and it crashes under its aspirations of moving epicness. Still, it was rather entertaining and the opener is super sweet. 3.6
15Wodensthrone
Loss

Marehelm
Just great songwriting on here. The album showcases how to use BM properly and well. It even goes beyond that at some points with some actually vicious moments. It just dragged on a lil bit and lacked that true amazingness. However, the album length feels justified and flows well so that’s a huge plus. 3.75
