Glassjaw Ranked

One of those bands whom I can never get enough of. Been listening to them for quite a long time now and, well, here's how I'd rank their stuff. HYPE IT UP FOR THEIR NEW LP.
1Glassjaw
Worship and Tribute

Their magnum opus. The anthemic post-hardcore record of the ages. A fucking milestone in 21st century's loud rock spectrum in general. The apeshit, left field vocals, the pummeling charge coming from the instruments... The album is crazy, gorgeous, sexy and it always hits the right spot when your going through it. One of my most played CDs ever.
2Glassjaw
Coloring Book

Coloring Book is one of those EPs that just feels like a full-length when listening to it. Granted, a short full length...but, damn. This one hits home and it hits hard. There's something hypnotizing about this release. This is the BEST their bass has ever sounded, imo. It's thick, emotional, less heavy on vocals but heavy and diverse enough on instruments. Daryl steps down from screaming and makes up for it in some of his most passionate and loose singing yet. It's fucking tight.

Everything You Ever Wanted To Know...

Their debut LP is considered by some their best. It's not. It really isn't. It's a fantastic record, which influenced many groups in that era and beyond. In fact, some bands *COUGHCOUGHFINCHCOUGH* blatantly ripped it off. It's got more of an early 2000's alternative metal fused with hardcore vibe going on. Granted, lyrically, this is their most intense and often hateful record yet. (I've decided to address this) The slut-shaming and the mysogyny in this record is off-putting, to say the least. I get that he was angry at the time and did adress the lyrics afterwards, but yeah... Lyrics are also coming from Daryl's struggles with his health, identity, sex, etc. The record's amazeballs. Just not their best.

Our Color Green (The Singles)

I think Our Color Green is a fantastic EP that deserved to be fleshed out into a full-length. Some of their heaviest and most 'balls to the wall' material is on here. Granted, their new single sounds very much like something you'd hear off of this.

El Mark

Another nice little release. FIN.
