NazzBBMN Part 2

Empire Strikes Back, The Two Towers, Electric Boogaloo. All great sequels, much like this list where I continue my NBBMN cataloging beyond the first 100 albums.
1the sarcophagus
Towards the Eternal Chaos

3.5
Not to be confused with Sarcophagus, the JI side project
2Ulvegr
Where the Icecold Blood Storms

3.5
3Ulvegr
Arctogaia

3.5
4Ulvegr
Titahion: Kaos Manifest

3
5Ulvegr
Vargkult

The end of my Ulvegr journey. Plenty of decent-to-great albums, culminating in a pretty darn good 2018 release that is going to sink beneath the waves made by much stronger 2018 black metal.
6AntimateriA
Valo aikojen takaa

3.5
7Girtablullu
Exorcism In Moonlight

3.5
8Throaat
Puke on your Grave

3.5
Pretty cool thrashy speedy black metal project
9Throaat
Reflections In Darkness

3.5
10Throaat
Black Speed

3.5
11Pig's Blood
Pig's Blood

4
Awesome war that leans more on the death side than black
121914
Eschatology Of War

3.5
Everyone's talking about 1914 this week on account of their new album, so I figured I'd jam all their material before getting to that.
131914
Für Kaiser, Volk und Vaterland!

3.5
141914
The Blind Leading the Blind

4
Easily their best album. I'll be spinning this now and again, 1914's use of samples is very unique compared to the typical horror samples I'm used to in my dumb boi slam and brutal death
15Kult Ov Azazel
Triumph of Fire

3
16Kult Ov Azazel
Oculus Infernum

3
17Kult Ov Azazel
The World, The Flesh and The Devil

3
more like Kult Ov Three Out of Five
18Kult Ov Azazel
Destroying the Sacred

2.5
More like Kult Ov Two Point Five Out of Five
19Iuvenes
Riddle of Steel

3.5
20Christ Invertion
Embodiment of Goat Blasphemy / Hail Desecration!

4
This is a comp of Christ Invertion's two albums. This shit is so good, noise wargrind is the best way to describe it. It's ugly, it's messy, it often doesn't sound like there's a method or vision behind it but it is always fun.
21Morbosidad
Corona De Epidemia

3.5
22Morbosidad
Morbosidad

3.5
23Unholy Crucifix
Ordo Servorum Satanae

3.5
I picked this up on CD a while ago at my local record store and spun it a few times, I guess I never rated it so it felt right at home giving it another spin and rating it during NBBMN.
24Judas Iscariot
Of Great Eternity

4
The only "classic" Judas Iscariot I hadn't already heard and rated, I also haven't jammed that Starry Sky album released this year by Elmer Judd. I love JI, I know many don't but it's just such fucking solid USBM in the vein of that old cold shit.
25Vietus Mortuus
Vietus Mortuus

3.5
A black metal demo I picked up at the record store, really solid stuff. They have some other demos out and as of this month according to their Facebook they are mixing a full length so I look forward to checking out more from these guys.
26Algaion
Vox Clamentis

3.5
A short and sweet meloblack EP that I used to cap off last night. Backlogged the band name to check out their other stuff later, their debut LP looks real promising and I do love me some melodic black.
27Diaboli
Towards Damnation

3.5
I'm getting pretty hooked on this band, very good black metal leaning a bit towards atmo while still retaining a cold Scandinavian second wave sound
28diaboli
Anthems of Sorrow

4
Fantastic record, I could see this growing beyond a 4
29diaboli
Kirous

3.5
30Judas Iscariot
An Ancient Starry Sky

4
The fabled lost JI album. It was pretty awesome, and because I'm stupid and missed the window on filing a Paypal dispute towards Elmer Judd and the AMM crew I could end up owning this on vinyl if it ever actually releases (it wont)
31Sargeist
Unbound

4
I've been avoiding this record like the fucking plague I'm a big fan of Sargeist in general, Satanic Black Devotion and Let the Devil in are extremely influential on the current BM-sphere, but Feeding the Crawling Shadows was a huge letdown compared to previous releases. Thankfully, Unbound bounces back in a big way, rivalling Let the Devil In in quality.
32Leviathan
Time End

3
There's quite a few pre-10th Sublevel Leviathan demos and LPs that are missing on Sput, so I thought I'd start going through them and adding them. Each one is an hour or more in length though, so I don't think I can do more than a couple a day.
33Leviathan
MisanthropicNecroBlasphemy

3
Tapping out here on Leviathan demos for the night, the next one is an hour and 10 minutes long and I'm already a sleepy boy. Solid demos though, some good ideas on them but maybe a bit too much of Wrest fucking around and doing dumb spooky clean voice interludes like he's a shitty Vincent Price.
34Algaion
Oimai Algeiou

4
Not sure how I slept n this for so long, stellar meloblack
35Antestor
The Return of the Black Death

4
36Antestor
Martyrium

3.5
37Antestor
The Forsaken

4
Need to jam Antestor's latest album, each LP its like they throw out what they were combining with BM on the previous record and add something else to the mix instead
38Antestor
Omen

3.5
And that concludes Antestor's black metal LPs. If you ever wanted to check out some solid unblack these are the guys to spin, but don't expect the lyrical content to change the quality of the music at all.
39Satan's Wrath
Die Evil

3
40Algaion
Algaion (demo)

3
41Leviathan
Seven & Slaveship

3
Another earlier Leviathan demo. Has some extreme highs on it, but it's length and long boring passages in between the greatness hold it back significantly.
42The Black Sorcery
...And the Beast Spake Death From Above

4
Oof, this art. Can't wait for this to eventually make its way onto wax. Fantastic war in a year with plenty of other great war releases.
43Profane Order
Tightened Noose of Sanctimony

4
More great war, this time an EP from last year. I think there's a comp with this band's only EP and LP if you wanted to check it out.
44Profane Order
Marked by Malice

4
This is the LP. There's like 5 minutes difference in running time between the LP and EP so uh I don't think that distinction really matters. It's fast crusty war and that's all that matters.
45Impiety
Asateerul Awaleen

3.5
46Impiety
Paramount Evil

3.5
47Impiety
Skullfucking Armageddon

3.5
48Impiety
Formidonis Nex Cultus

3.5
49Zifir
You Must Come With Us

3.5
A short Impiety break from the blasphemic war goats. Zifir is a Turkish black metal band playing in the style of Finnish bands, and it works pretty well!
50Impiety
Kaos Kommand 696

4
lmao this art, and of course it's on their best album
51Impiety
Terroreign

4
52Impiety
Worshippers of the Seventh Tyranny

3.5
One 38 minute track. Definitely has points where the action lulls and they could have cut the bullshit and just moved on to another track but that wasn't their vision for this, for better or worse.
53Impiety
Ravage & Conquer

3.5
This concludes our Impiety journey! Overall a very good war band from Singapore, if they put out any other material I'll be sure to check it out. I know they have a handful of EPs I'll jam at some point.
54Artefact
Son of Solstice

4
The main homie behind Darkenhold's old band. I just can't get enough french meloblack
55Artefact
Magic Spellcraft

4
56Artefact
Ruins

4
Darkenhold is still better, though.
57Rodent Epoch
Rodentlord

3.5
58Crurifragium
Crurifragium

3
59Crurifragium
Beasts of the Temple of Satan

3.5
Solid war, generic but played well
60Ritual Knife
Hate Invocation

3.5
Punkified black metal
61Warpvomit
Barbaric Triumph of Evil

3.5
War compilation of Warpvomit's EP and another release I'm not familiar with
62Warpvomit
Carnal Sacrifice

3.5
Afformentioned EP
63Demoncy
Faustian Dawn

3
Real oldschool cutting edge USBM from the early 90's.
64Demoncy
Within the Sylvan Realms of Frost

3.5
65Demoncy
Joined in Darkness

4
High point of the discog, they are experimenting with incorporating some death metal to create almost a kvlt war metal album without all the blistering fast passages. Will definitely be checking this again or tracking it down on wax.
66Demoncy
Empire of the Fallen Angel

3, almost a 2.5
This was kinda stinky at points but I think I did this album a disservice jamming it as soon as I finished Joined in Darkness.
67Demoncy
Enthroned is the Night

3.5
Their latest from 2012, if they pack it up here they will have ended on a good note. Not as good as JiD, not as bad as EotFA, a solid 2nd or 3rd best album in their discog.
68Morgal
Käärmesielu

4
lol I think I used the wrong art, whoops. Veeeery good Finnish bm
69Morgal
Mistress of Blood

4
70Forgotten Spell
Epiphaneia Phosphorus (Angel, God or Insanity)

3.5
This absolutely didn't need to be an hour and a half long and would have picked up at least another .5 if it weren't
71Krieg
Rise of the Imperial Hordes

4
And so begins my Kreig journey into the depths of a USBM mainstay for over 20 years. For some reason this album has hella low ratings on RYM and here, sorry you guys have broken ears.
72Kult ov Azazel / Krieg
Kult ov Azazel / Krieg

3.5
A good split with Kult ov Azazel whomst've I discog'd earlier in nbbmn
73Krieg
Destruction Ritual

4
This album takes off like a fucking fighter jet
74Krieg
The Black House

3.5
75Krieg / Morte Incandescente
Death Glorification

3.5
Split with a Portuguese band I added to the backlog to visit later, both sides were solid but the Krieg material was stronger.
76Krieg
Sono Lo Scherno

3.5
Where I will depart from Krieg for a bit to avoid burnout
77Communion
Communion

3.5
Chilean black thrash
78Wald Krypta
Nature Enigma

3.5
791349
Liberation

3.5
Alright so I really like Apocalypse and Hellfire by 1349 but I've heard nothing else, I decided to fix that tonight. The drums on this are nuts, but that's to be expected in a band that's basically a vanity project for Frost of Satyricon fame to just blastbeat to his hearts content.
801349
Revelations of the Black Flame

2.5
p huge step down from their other material
811349
Demonoir

3
Getting back in the saddle
821349
Massive Cauldron of Chaos

3.5
They should probably stop here now that they've climbed back to the quality of at least their debut. Extremely good album art, though.
