Experiencing Internet Reduction

So half way through last year I said I'd be visiting the site less...only thing is I was half way through a couple of projects I'd set (listening to a lot of new releases for my end of year lists/discovering as much new music as possible) but this year I've not set myself any such similar goals. Instead I'm planning to resurrect some of my old habits (listed below) that I've missed since rewiring my brain the last couple of years. List is bands I hope release a new album this year.
1Portishead
Third

Reading novels again. This has stopped to 'just on holidays' (so about two or three a year). Considering before then I used to read about thirty a year that's something that I need to change. It's hard to make time as much now I'm living with someone, but I should at least give it a go...and not always drift straight to the Internet with my free time.
2Massive Attack
Ritual Spirit

Listening to music in darkness/semi darkness / no distractions. I so rarely do this now but it's probably the best way to listen to a lot of music.
3Lambchop
FLOTUS

Going for a walk with headphones for no other purpose than getting to know an album. Again, similar to above, I just rarely do this. The last album I remember doing this for was 'Trouble Will Find Me' which I constantly would 'road test' like this...and it quickly became one of my favourite albums of all time.
4Tindersticks
The Waiting Room

Listening to music and watching the scenery on the train commute. I'm now a 'head down on the iPhone drone' and again, one of the best ways to listen to a new album.
5The The
NakedSelf

Generally less of music listening being the 'secondary' activity when doing things all the time. I mean music is perfect for that too, but I'd like to go back to having it as the 'primary' activity in a given moment in general.
6Nine Inch Nails
Add Violence

I have a tendency to get addicted quick to things, and my obsessiveness knows no bounds, but I can easily apply that approach to then removing the said behaviours (which becomes a goal of itself) - as a kid I was obsessed with video games, they were the main way I'd spend my free time at home, but now I've just cut them out. You can't do that with the internet, but I know I can get back to more like the level I was with it three years ago.
7Cass McCombs
Mangy Love

I still want to reach over a hundred reviews here and I'm not 'retiring' or anything like that...but I won't be here as much in 2018. That's a certainty. Nothing personal, I still love you all :D
