After the raw black metal of the previous album, Spite Extreme Wing turn to an incredibile avantgarde metal. The best Is the cover of Helter Skelter. 9.5/10 |

Depressive black metal mixed with depressive rock. It could be remind Shining's "V - Halmstad" or Lifelover's "Konkurs". But it's even better. 10/10 |

Among the plenty of Epic Metal bands risen in Italy between 1999 and 2007 (Holy Martyr, Doomsword, Wotan, Etrusgrave, ecc.), this is one of the best. 8/10 |

This is the best album by the band from Florence. The Epic Metal of the two earlier albums is mixed with the Power Metal of the previous album, for a very balanced result. 8/10 |

30 | | Maldoror In Saturn Mystique
Another black diamond by the band from Turin. In its last work before the band changed its name, Maldoror continue on the path of Symphonic BM of its debut, but adds some very interesting EBM elements (in particular on "Osiris Elettro Mantrum"), which remind the Aborym's debut "Kali Yuga Bizarre" (which was released the previous year). 8.5/10 |

Amazing debut for one of the best avantgarde bands in Europe. U.M.A. is the perfect crossover between post rock, psychedely, progressive and black metal I've ever listen at. 9.5/10 |

Dark Quarterer over the top. In 2020 the old band guided by Gianni Nepi hits the target: great arrangements, jazzy mood and the ability to amaze every time. It could be the best band in this list. 8.5/10 |

Another great album from the Capitoline band. It continues in the mood of "Mare Nostrum", but it's even more epic and symphonic. 8/10 |

The most various and fresh among Inchiuvatu's alubms. Even the interludes are great (try listen to "Chi scuru chi c'รจ"), and the tracks are more complex and better recorded than the earlier works. 8/10 |

Another step forward for the band, which enriches its sound with gothic & symphonic elements, and complex prog arrangements. The violin, then, is handled beautifully. 9/10 |

Probably the most mature work by the band. It continues in the style of the previous one, but with better arrangements. 8.5/10 |
39 | | Dark Quarterer Symbols
After the proggy twist of the previous album, the band releases its best work since "Etruscan Prophecy". "Symbols" is a prog metal album, full of references to '70 prog and classic HM, with intelligent lyrics, very good and "catchy" songs and a great performance of the musicians. 9/10. |

On its second album, Progenie Terrestre Pura adds to its progressive/electronic/post Black metal a great amount of psybient. The result is excellent. 9/10 |

A masterpiece in modern technical death metal. The influences by Deathspell Omega, Ulcerate and Gorguts are rielaborated in a personal, psychotic way. 9/10 |
45 | | Crown of Autumn Byzantine Horizons
After a mediocre come back, Crown of Autumn released a great album, which expands the band's proposal to Power and Black metal, in addition to the early gothic/folk/melodeath of the debut. 9/10 |

Novembre always hits the target. "The Blue", althought It's not its masterpiece, is a truly solid record of proggy Death/Doom metal. 8/10 |

In this album Malombra abandons the dark prog of previous releases, to approach a sound that owes the most electronic gothic drifts. The result is excellent, even if lower than the previous masterpieces. 8/10 |

Even if the previous album was a masterpiece, "Ad Nauseam" is a step ahead. The mix of gothic, Doom, elettronica and darkwave is sublime. 9/10 |

Eldritch, after the progressive glories of the memorable "Ill Nino", completely change direction and propose a groove album, technical and full of modern influences. Upon its release the album was opposed by early fans, and caused a crisis that threw the band into the ranks of minor bands. Years later, "Reverse" remains an album to be rediscovered and enjoyed in all its freshness. 8.5 / 10 |

The latest, great album by Sophya Baccini & co. Although a little more "mannered" than its very fresh predecessors, "Gold" is an album on the border between progressive rock and metal, perfect in composition and execution. Never so epic, never so dark, Presence creates its latest great masterpiece. 8.5 / 10 |
