Classic Albums I Just Can't Dig That Much
1Cryptopsy
None So Vile

I've tried to convince myself that this was a great record, but I just can't do it. It's not awful, it's decent, but it's no fucking 4.4. To me, Death and Suffocation are the pinnacle of tech. death metal. I just can't really get into this one, sorry guys. 6.5/10
2Ozzy Osbourne
Blizzard of Ozz

Without a doubt the most overrated album I've ever heard. I love Ozzy's solo career, not many people on this site do, but I can say that I do. No More Tears is an awesome album, Bark At The Moon is a fun record, and Diary Of A Madman is one of my favorite metal albums of all time. But Blizzard Of Ozz is widely considered to be Ozzy's best, and I for the life of me just can't see it. Outside of Crazy Train and Mr. Crowley, what else is there? This album just goes in one ear and out the other for me. It gets bonus points for great proudction and having the Ozzy man himself on vocals. 7.5/10
3AC/DC
Back In Black

Like Ozzy Osbourne, not many people on this site dig AC/DC. Probably because they are both mainstream rock/metal acts, and usually artists that come along with that stigma are looked down upon. But I dig the shit out of AC/DC's seventies era with Bon Scott, but the rest after not so much. I actually really like Brian Johnson as a vocalist, he has a strong Motorhead vibe to him, but my main problem with Back In Black is that for an album that tries to be hard and badass, its production is way too clean. If the prod was just as raw and dirty as previous albums, then I might like it a lot more. I'm gonna give it an 8.0/10, which might seem like a really good score, which it is, but its not worthy of the 9.5's and 10's that critics may have you believe.
4Testament
The Legacy

This more of a look on the band in general and not just one specific album. I always felt Testament was the weakest of the Bay Area Thrash 6, which consists of (best to worst) Megadeth, Metallica, Anthrax, Slayer, Exodus, and of course, Testament. There's nothing wrong with them, they just never caught my interest that much. Only ever listened to their first two albums, The Legacy and The New Order, and between the two I prefer The New Order. I give both albums an 8.0/10.
5Voivod
Dimension Hatross

I actually thoroughly enjoy Dimension Hatross but the rest of what I heard by Voivod kind of bores me. Not sure why.
6Bathory
Twilight of the Gods

I love the holy shit out of Bathory, their first four albums are black metal masterpieces, and their fifth album, Hammerheart, is the greatest viking metal album of all time. While I can say I like Twilight Of The Gods, I can't say I love it, or that I really like it. The vocals sound too chorus-ey and usually I really like that but its played up too much here. Plus, none of the songs here are near as memorable as Hammerheart's. I even prefer Blood On Ice to this. 7.5/10
