Yet another rec comp 10

This is the tenth and final round, so I'm gonna throw you 2 for a curveball, I want 9 recs in total from each of you, 1 for each of the previous 9 rounds. No bands may be re-used, so if a band has already been recced sometime in this competition, it is off limits. Whoever has the highest average score from their nine recs wins the competition. Remaining competitors are: Wren and Chortles

Wrong

It's catching up
An aggressive track from a band that I've been meaning to check for a while now, nothing spectacular, but it's solid
3.7
12The radio dept.
Clinging to a Scheme

This time around
Very laid back and relaxed, a fun listen
3.8
13Grief
Miserably ever after

One of those days
It's a middle of the road track by Grief, so it's still better than most other bands
3.8
14Bomb the Music Industry!
To leave or die in long Island

Syke! Life is awesome
Sounds like a generic Ska tune
3.3
15Roy montgomery
Scenes from the south island

Rainshadow near christchurch
A slightly unsettling Drone track that manages to don't feel repetitive, nothing wrong with that
3.8
16This heat
Deceit

Paper hats
This track blew me away, kinda reminds me of swans if they were a lot better. The opening riff was better than 90% of tracks recced in this competition
4.3
17Medicine
Shot forth self living

Aruca
I didn't know that shoegaze could get this noisy until I heard this song, and surprisingly it sounds really good
4
18Raime
Quarter Turns Over a Living Line

Exist in the repeat of practice
I overuse the word unsettling whenever I describe tracks like this, but it's the only word that comes to mind, it makes me feel like I'm being watched for whatever reason
4.2
19Suis la lune
Heir

September gave us awkwardness, October gave us nothing
Solid skramz track
3.9
20Trespassers William
Different Stars

Wren:
21Black eyes
Black eyes

Speaking in tongues
At first the vocals turned me off of this track, but after a few listens they became my favorite part, they're bursting with energy
3.9
22Elysian fields
Queen of the Meadow

Hearts are open graves
Was hoping this track would take a different route than it did after hearing the start, but it's still enjoyable
3.6
23Planning for burial
Leaving

Being a teenager and the awkwardness of backseat sex
This played more like a post rock song than a sludge one, there are still sludge undertones that rear their head every once in a while, but I'd be hard pressed to call anything this airy sludge.
3.6
24Citizen fish
Free Souls In A Trapped Environment

Supermarket song
Sounds like a post punk vocalist filling in for a Ska band
3.7
25Gowns
Red State

White like heaven
I would have enjoyed this track much more if it was instrumental, as the vocals are extremely monotonous, even for drone
3.4
26Swell maps
Jane from occupied Europe

Cake shop girl
Sounds like generic post punk
3.6
27The twilight sad
Forget The Night Ahead

I became a prostitute
I've only heard one other song by these guys, and it left a completely different positive impression. Everything about this song works, down to the dudes Scottish accent. It all adds up to make a very pleasant track
4
28Disasterpeace
Hyper Light Drifter

The winding Ridge
This track reminded me of Oxenfree's soundtrack, and it made me reminisce about getting lost in the beauty of that game and it's peaceful soundscapes
4.1
29The wrens
The Meadowlands

Happy
A fitting rec from you considering the name, it's an absolutely beautiful emo track with exceptional vocals. One of my favorite tracks that I've been recced in this competition
4.4
30Aiming For Average
Blueprints

Averages:
Chortles: 3.86
Wren: 3.81
