02.28.18 | It's the debut album name for some no name djent band |

02.28.18 | Apparently Euclid was wrong. New Ocean track incoming... |

02.28.18 | There are postulates for geometry. Certain givens when trying to prove something. Non-Euclidean geometry deals with those postulates not belonging to Euclid's school of geometric thought? I very well could be wrong. Hopefully someone more intelligent will correct me if that is indeed the case. |

02.28.18 | So Euclid wrote The Elements which is a treatise containing theorems and proofs of solid planes and lines which went uncontested for thousands of years since there was no other known form in geometry. But I guess his work was shotty and was only explained on his terms when he wanted. Also Einstein's general relativity implies physical space to be non-Euclidean unless in weak gravitational fields. But that's all I got. The rest is postulates and algorithms that I don't understand, and I can't find any decent laymen's explanations as to why it's wrong. |

02.28.18 | An additional definition for non-Euclidean I guess would be any form of geometry that does not include Euclid's parallel postulate. But again, I'm not sure as to why the parallel postulate is invalid to begin with... |

02.28.18 | I see, I see. Math was never my forte, to be honest. Sorry I couldn't be of more assistance! |

02.28.18 | It means unless you get your head out of a book and live you won’t get to kiss a girl untill the next monolithic age. Nerd. |

02.28.18 | I think this summerised it very well: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jvs_gTrP3wg
Basically the reason for non-Euclidian Geometry is because Euclidian Geometry is just a basis, a frame of reference to work from. If you work in different geometries (i.e. a different frame work so everything you do will have different expressions), you can get some nice properties out of them which allow you to solve problems which you could not before. Take for example changing coordinates from (x,y) to (r,theta) (r = radius, theta = angle from the x axis), this allows you to solve multiple problems such as integrals which you couldn't in the (x,y) plane. The same principle applies here, it was done out of curiosity and you see what uses you can get out of it. For what those advantages entale I'm not sure, I've done differential geometry and topology before but never used non-euclid geometry much and I'm leaving the world of Pure Mathematics for the most part. |

02.28.18 | the visual geometry induced by psychedelics at its 6th level and above can be perceived as four dimensional or non-euclidean |

03.01.18 | Nice, thanks for the vids. I saw this one as well but it basically summarizes what I already wrote https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LPET_HhN0VM |

03.01.18 | @Avagantamos - unfortunately I never reached the 6th level... |
