Saturate is the only album by this band I go back to for more than song or two, those songs are all ranked criminally low here. They deserve credit for at least featuring lyrics that don't dwell on super generic concepts like "darkness," "breath," "suffocating," "cold," "life," you get the idea.
I sincerely believe Benjamin Burnley is the worst lyricist in rock, FWIW, but at least Saturation gives me something interesting.
I didn't like Ben's vocals much on Saturate, and songs to me lacked cohesiveness. I won't deny that Saturate is probably their rawest release. But it felt like a debut, so that's why so many of the songs ranked lower for me. I appreciate a differing of opinions though, which is what is so great about music. :)
