TheSpirit 02.19.16	Atmospheric black metal is probably my favorite. Also you forget progressive black metal, which would be bands like Kathaarsis, Katharsys, Nocte Obducta, and my personal favorite Lugubrum. Oh and depressive black metal. Oh, and blackened noise too.

Nazzadan 02.19.16	Burzum's s/t, Darkthrone's first 4 black metal albums, Taake's Hordalands Doedskvad, 1349's Hellfire, Astarte's Doomed Dark Years, Immortal's Pure Holocaust, Emperor's Wrath of the Tyrant. I probably listen to more contemporary sounding BM more than 2nd wave and the bands that play the same style, but good 2nd wave to me is unbeatable.

climactic 02.19.16	to me, ambient takes the atmosphere to a different level where everything meshes together to form this big wall of sound, whereas in atmospheric every component is still distinguishable and theres just lots of reverby guitars and layers and stuff

Nazzadan 02.19.16	Mayhem is absolutely 1st wave, they just have such a heavy influence on 2nd wave that to many they seem indistinguishable
