06.17.20 | I will admit that when I saw Dino Jr. warm-up for Primus in 2015, they sucked hard, or at least their sound guy did. Like I get that they're a noise rock band, but the guitars drowned out the damn drums even and the vocals were so low that I couldn't exactly make out what song it was most of the time despite knowing a lot of their albums well.
Their studio 93-97 era stuff is super hit or miss, and I've only heard 2/4 of their comeback albums and they're good enough (both 3.5s imo.)
With that said: Bug, YLAOM, and Green Mind are all awesome and their debut has it's moments of brilliance as well. Three 4+ albums are enough for me to defend a band, but being terrible live is enough for me to insult them as well.
