11.16.15 | well otherwise cl0ver was pretty much right and the definition makes it pretty ambiguous and easy to use to apply to a lot of sample based music but think of it as more of a process than an actual genre. a notable thing that a lot of plunderphucknics artists will literally build over the original track they are plundering and then delete that track in the end so the end result is pretty well indistinguishable from the original. there are lots of other methods but in the end plunderphucknics is typically indistinguishable from the songs plundered which helps evade copywrite claims. where a lot of sample based music and hip hop u can easily identify the samples, not to mention original material is used with the samples as well.
but yeah at the end of the day just consider it a process and not a genre and ull be good, much like how samples arent a genre, sampling is a process.
