07.22.21 | As far as great music this year goes, my favorite album so far has been the new Tyler, the Creator album. Great album, even if I don't like it quite as much as Igor. |

07.22.21 | :(( wish you lots of strength mate
If you dig ulcerate it is hard to believe you won't dog the 2021 output from And nauseam. My favourite of the year so far is though a complete surprise: the debut album of Dunerider: Ruins |

07.22.21 | Sorry to hear about that buddy. It really is a tough situation. Hope you can get through with it. I know it may not seem like it at first but you can and deserve to be happy on your own
Since you like metal you might be interested in VOLA's Witness |

07.22.21 | All the best hommie, I can only imagine what you went through and still are. Stay strong and focus on yourself |

07.22.21 | Stay strong bro, better days will come. As far as recs go, the only thing that comes to mind is the new Year of no Light |

Forgive yourself. You are better than your past. |

07.23.21 | Yeah sucks. Hits you square in the stomach. Your graph and ratings are quite similar to mine actually but my fav finds this year are mostly some version of black metal. Maybe try new Thy Catafalque - Vadak |

07.23.21 | Sorry guyman - did not know you are going through this. If you need to talk, I am here. So far this year for me …

07.23.21 | Hey. Thanks y'all.
I'll check some of these and report back. |

07.23.21 | Hey man, my wife of 15 years and I almost split a few months ago due to my drug and alcohol addictions, but we’re in a good place now. So I know how devastating it can be, even though we didn’t actually end up splitting — but it felt real for awhile and I’ve never been more distraught in my life. Really made getting sober difficult but I ultimately realized that was absolutely the only way we could possibly survive as a married couple.
At any rate, probably my two favorites this year which you’ve undoubtedly already heard are Deftones Ohms and Chevelle NIRATIAS. |
chemicalmarriage
07.24.21 | Take that feeling you felt for a few months and now know that this is the rest of your fucking life. jesus christ man. Chevelle? Fucking chevelle. Ok |
Piglet
07.24.21 | honestly all you need to do is go rawdog sum rando thai bich and you'll feel roight as rain bruether |
Larkinhill
07.24.21 | Chevelle? Fucking chevelle. Ok
Yes. Fucking Chevelle. Go cry about it. You’re a bit of a little bitch aren’t you? |
chemicalmarriage
07.24.21 | Not crying about it. Just pointing out your basic as fuck 8th grade angst of a record is probably not going to help this guy going through the hardest time of his life. Have you even heard the albums he has listed? Beyond the subject matter of the list, chevelle is dumb as fuck in regards to what he's after. |
Piglet
07.24.21 | all this heat just for recommending chevelle LMAO
|
Larkinhill
07.24.21 | @chemicalmarriage sorry sir, it will not happen again. You’ve told me Chevelle sucks, therefore they must. My most humble apologies to the one actually acting like an 8th grader. The irony. |
chemicalmarriage
07.24.21 | I like rosetta and dvne. Just got divorced. Life is in a dark place, please rec some music.
Dude have you heard of this band chevelle. They are fucking amazing. |
chemicalmarriage
07.24.21 | This reminds me of the time I almost got divorced because I'm a drug addict. It was a terrible feeling and the worst time of my life. I heroically quit drugs and saved my marriage. I know what you are going through. I've been there. Check chevelle. You'll feel better |

DavidYowi
07.24.21 | God 20 years, I can't imagine how much that hurts. I'd recommend Nothing - The Great Dismal and Hum - Inlet, both are heavy but soothing shoegaze records that came out last year. A lot lyrics have to do with recovering from loss which might help you out emotionally (or it might make you feel even more depressed, but hopefully you enjoy them). |
DavidYowi
07.24.21 | Only sput can have a thread about a guy getting divorced spiral into fighting about Chevelle.
Also Dvne is barely more sophisticated than Chevelle get over yourself |

Lol you’re a complete goddamn idiot. Go home, I think it’s past your bedtime. |
Larkinhill
07.25.21 | @chemicalmarriage that being said, the irony of your username considering the discussion is pretty cool haha. |
Larkinhill
07.25.21 | Ok if we’re going with break up albums—Blood on the Tracks, Disintegration and Midnight Organ Fight. |
Larkinhill
07.25.21 | Gotta run it past chemicalmarriage first though to make sure the bands r kewl. Wouldn’t wanna disappoint the all knowing god of all music that is kewl.
Only sput can have a thread about a guy getting divorced spiral into fighting about Chevelle.
😆 shit like this is the reason I love this place. |
TheSonomaDude
07.25.21 | get well man. i glad you're doing better. |
0GuyMan0
07.26.21 | The irony here is that I actually listened to that Chevelle album quite a bit when it dropped. I like it. I was an early adopter of theirs from before the ozzfest breakthrough, so I've always kinda followed their trajectory even if much of what they release doesn't have a lot of staying power.
If I need to clarify - I don't need these tunes to heal me. I just need good tunes. Thanks all for the recs, and the fact that even this deteriorated into a sput-fuck is strangely comforting. |
LeddSledd
07.26.21 | Can't imagine that pain man, I really wish nothing but the best
