06.06.17 | Setlist:
Hardwired
Atlas Rise
For Whom the Bell Tolls
Fuel
The Unforgiven
Now that We're Dead
Moth into Flame
Wherever I May Roam
Halo on Fire
Whiplash
Sad But True
One
Master of Puppets
Fade to Black
Seek and Destroy
Battery
Nothing Else Matters
Enter Sandman
Despite a setlist of songs I'd mostly have preferred to switch for another, I was blown away by the spectacle and James' voice. And they were fucking LOUD, which I didn't expect in Busch Stadium.
I got Black / Load in '96 when I was 10. Been waiting to see them ever since. Legitimately teared up when Bell Tolls started. On the way home was thinking - "I'd turn around and pay double to watch them again right now".
10/10 would 'tallica again.

BigBlob
06.06.17 | even if Metallica played all their best songs it would still be a shit setlist |
guitarded_chuck
06.06.17 | lol |
GhandhiLion
06.06.17 | "even if Metallica played all their best songs it would still be a shit setlist" But that's because its neo Metallica. |
DungeonBoy
06.06.17 | @bloc [2] that's pretty much what I'd expect. Hits off the new album they are touring for, and all of the classics from previous. |
bloc
06.06.17 | Yeah, that's honestly what 99% of the crowd wants to hear anyway. Maybe aside from the new album hits lol |
DungeonBoy
06.06.17 | My favorite Metallica song is Dyer's Eve, but I wouldn't buy a Metallica ticket in the hopes that they played it. I just saw Iron Maiden on Saturday, and I'm seeing Slayer next month and to be honest at this point it's just awesome to see the bands I grew up with still up there putting their heart and soul into their music and shows. It's icing on the cake if they play some obscure gems in their set, but that's not gonna stop me from signing along to One, Master of Puppets, Fade to Black, etc. |

06.06.17 | I'd say don't knock it til you try it. I thought the event would be far greater than the concert, if that makes sense. I've been to hundreds of shows, played a hundred of my own. I'm grizzled as fuck and my ears ring all the time. I was absolutely blown away. Didn't think they'd bring it that hard. To be fair, if this was a small venue, or in the round even, I'm not sure I'd have been so amazed. |
AlexKzillion
06.06.17 | Whiplash was probably lit |
guitarded_chuck
06.06.17 | should open with battery everytime |
0GuyMan0
06.07.17 | battery, blackened or creeping death, yeah. but to be honest, hardwired is a sick opener too. |
Titan
06.07.17 | setlist looks pretty good to me |
