Lord(e)Po)))ts 10.30.16	when i was 16 i saw converge and there was this dude who was lurking on the outside ring of the pit the entire show waiting for people to let their guard down and he would just literally tackle them below the waist from behind and flip them. fucking piece of shit man thats not cool. im not into moshing anymore, but back when i was it was always at least a loving and community building sort of violence (lol) and when someone got knocked down or hurt people would protect them and help them up and make sure they were all good. thats how it should be. anyone who goes to a show with the intent of intentionally hurting people in their community should get thrown the fuck out and barred from the venue.

dbizzles 10.30.16	The straightedge crews at metal shows in SLC used to be the absolute worst. I wouldn't even go to a show if there was anything remotely christian about any of the bands on the bill. I got a cigarette slapped out of my mouth and spit at just waiting in line to see a Chariot show back in '07 or '08 and it wasn't any better in the venue. Saw guys getting sucker-punched and ganged up on for running into the wrong dude in the pit. Fucking pathetic stuff.

AND PUNCH THEM IN THE FUCKING FACE" everyone was like um no fucking kill yourself "Moshing is a blast in the right crowd. " yeah i used to like it for sure

dbizzles 10.30.16	Last weekend at the DEP show was the first time in a while that I threw down pretty good. It was my first and probably last Dillinger show, so why not? Their set was respectful for the most part. The Cult Leader show was a bit more senselessly violent though (dudes throwing random punches and hardcore dancing, etc.) Got fucking kicked in the guts and still have raspberry over my hip. I'm telling you, Utah is terrible. You'd think we're pussies, but we're mostly assholes.

Usually a couple shots conditions me pretty well." when i first moved away from home i would intentionally not tell my friends about shows and go to them by myself as a means to both be more receptive to meeting new people and also to put myself out of my comfort zone and get used to that. i used to be a bit insecure about it as well but i've learned over the years the only way to grow out of your comfort zone is to constantly put yourself in situations your uncomfortable with. if you do that all the time eventually they all become less and less uncomfortable

I usually have someone to go with me, but as my tastes have expanded... people just aren't interested in even hearing new kinds of music, let alone going to see someone they've never heard of. I don't mind too much. One less person to worry about, but for some reason I just get real nervous and tight-chested sometimes.

Both were also like 5'8" and had zero muscle tone. We had an ongoing beef with our neighbors above us for not knowing how to behave like adults (and avoid doing stuff like walking on stilts and skateboarding in their kitchen above us at 3 a.m.) and one time I finally snapped and went up there fucking banging on their door and telling them to come out and settle up. Literally the only time I ever saw them do shit was backing me when they knew I was already enraged and gonna handle all the heavy lifting myself. Hardcore kids are overwhelmingly pussies irl.
