11.24.13 | I stride through life knowing that everyday is a fresh challenge all the while smelling the flowers and soaking in the beauty around me.
A tip of the hat and a coin to a vagrant. A donation to animal welfare and a good few hours of exercise always help me unwind from the job that I love.
My pristine outter appearance is matched by my inner well being and only the thought of further atrocities in them places I can't pronounce lower my otherwise permanent grin.
Come skip with me and lets laugh together. |

11.24.13 | And I love you Calc just as much as I love everybody except people who live in hovels, huts and other such horrid places. I simply cannot stand their ghastly food or why they would think about slaughtering animals even to pay for their family. This is the 21st century for heaven's sake I hear McDonald's and Coffee houses are everywhere now. |

Currently a 3 only due to job changing, money related woes. Otherwise I made some changes that save me around $110 a month, and though I make a bit less money if I can keep good hours I'll still be in the green.

I'm a generally happy go lucky sort of guy anyways, but in the past year i've married my wife who is now 6 months pregnant as we await the arrival of our first child. Other than my job which is a pain in the ass at times, things couldn't get any better really. |

Keyblade
11.25.13 | I came to a realisation about the apparent contradictions of the human psyche the other night - not a list of cynical observations, but more a dictation of our psychological tendencies as human beings. This is how I see things at this point in time, if you guys have any input I'd be interested to hear it.
Nothing is ever as good as it seems. Everything always seems better than it is. We never appreciate anything until it's gone. We always want more and we can never have enough. We always want something we can never have. We spend our youth wanting to grow up and the rest of our life wishing we had our life back. All success is futile as it never brings the lasting fulfilment that we imagine. We're never really listening, only waiting for our turn to speak (although this was taken from Fight Club). We are all victims of our own thoughts - seldom few are not. All material things are transient, meaningless and bring no lasting happiness. True happiness only exists in the moment that it is felt - at any other time, it holds no weight. No outlook is constant and as such, we're perpetually confused. Life is perceivably short and a process of gradual decay. We remember very little of our lives at most. Everyone we love eventually goes away. We are all slaves to the monetary exchange. We could die at any time, and as such, death is inevitable. More or less, it seems that we live a hopeless, miserable existence punctured by brief moments of beauty and serenity. |

11.25.13 | 3 this week. I'm not doing too badly but damn, it's been a long semester. 300 level classes don't fuck around ya know? I'm ready for the winter, time with the family, presents, alcohol, home-cooked food, the works. I'll be 5/5 when I'm home with my buds and my people |
Polyethylene
11.25.13 | That's looking at life and our psychological tendencies through a neutral (or in some cases pessimistic) light though, most everyone on earth has the ability to look at their lives with a positive lean, focus on the beauty amongst the ugliness. Life and our pursuits may be ultimately pointless and meaningless, but why not try to enjoy it while it lasts? There's literally nothing to be gained from sitting around grumbling "we'll all be dead eventually" etc. |
Polyethylene
11.25.13 | Even if material things and art are also ultimately pointless/meaningless, there's still a lot of opportunity to invest in and enjoy those things in the present |
Keyblade
11.25.13 | I was trolling man, that was a copy pasta from a list. It's mostly bullshit, agreed |
Trebor.
11.25.13 | but that's life
so social |
ZippaThaRippa
11.25.13 | Life is intrinsically meaningless. It is the task of every individual to derive meaning and value from a pointless existence and find their own reason to live. |
Polyethylene
11.25.13 | Copypasta or no, there's a lot of truth to it. Just not truth to fixate on at the cost of enjoying life though, was me point |

Necrotica
11.26.13 | In all seriousness, I'll go ahead and give my opinion. I enjoy life. As with anyone I've had
depressing and joyous moments alike, but these days I've been more content than ever. I'm slowly
revealing more important facts about my life to people (ones that I'm finally more comfortable to
reveal) and garnering new friends in the process. I remain a dedicated musician and poet, and plan
on also being a screenwriter and filmmaker later down the road. And that's what I see life as: a
road. A twisted road. Sometimes its turns may throw us through a loop, but it's still the road we
must take and I prefer being as content as I can be on it. I hope at least some of you are enjoying
life as well right now.
Also, if any of you have a review, poem, or musical work you wanna share, I'm open to give pointers.
Other than studying for an astronomy test, I'm free tonight (and Jamie, I'm looking at your review
right now). |
