05.05.15 | oh fuck and i totally forgot
Fear Before - Art Damage |
grish
05.05.15 | i'm not big on metalcore and not sure how much this counts, but the first thing i thought of was 'irony is a dead scene' by the dillinger escape plan and mike patton. pretty short, i like it a lot though. edit: just looked at your ratings, looks like you've already jammed it |
hal1ax
05.05.15 | Gospel - The Moon is a Dead World |
Hopelust
05.05.15 | Oh totally forgot about scarlet. They're definitely a winner. Cult Classic and This Was Always Meant to Fall Apart are both great. Even "Something to Lust About" is fantastic for an EP. |
DanielNightLewis
05.05.15 | Ever check out the 2 "new" Scarlet songs that surfaced? They were excellent too:

Tokoloshe
05.05.15 | Palm Reader, Rolo Tomassi, RSJ, Baby Godzilla and Zoax.
They all have a different take on chaotic. But should be up your alley |
Flugmorph
05.05.15 | i'm currently interested in the more fun part of this genre, like every time i die tbh.
also i will add all of your recs to the list, so that repetition is limited. thx for the recs so far |

i dig them a lot lately |
Hopelust
05.05.15 | Check out Straight Reads the Line. Production's a little rough but overall their full length was wicked, and very in-line with what you're looking for. |
DanielNightLewis
05.05.15 | Gridlink Longhena for ridiculous guitar acrobatics at a million miles an hour crazy to think but the closest term I would put to it would be "melodic grind*"
*totally not a real thing but this album is unreal. |
Flugmorph
05.05.15 | i know longhena |
botb
05.05.15 | Also lacking in the secret - luce |
MrNippleLipz
05.05.15 | If you wanted regular metalcore why didn't you just say that? Every time I die and protest are definitely not chaotic. I think chaotic metalcore has more hardcore elements than metal elements, which is why it's called "chaotic" in the first place.
And who recommended Gospel? lolol. |

05.05.15 | 70 albums and no tfu :(

Flugmorph
05.05.15 | when i hear the word metalcore i always think of bands like killswitch engage. bands influenced by at the gates and the likes. bands like that i don't really care for.
every time i die isn't like that at all tho. so i would like more bands like them lol
|

05.05.15 | I honestly like Disintoxication better than Luce |

05.05.15 | hopesfall - no wings to speak of |

Name - Internet Killed the Audio Star
The Ongoing Concept - Saloon |
MrNippleLipz
05.06.15 | I just think there's a big difference between chaotic metalcore and the stuff you're looking for, but regardless this turned into a nice list, I commend the effort. |

DanielNightLewis
05.08.15 | the_Network just came on my shuffle, I forgot all about them.
This is Your Pig's Portrait is a really cool album in a Gaza meets Coalesce way. |

05.13.15 | mort is right. Genghis Tron's Board Up The House is a seriously devastating album with incredible melody and pacing. The last song is seriously shell-shocking.

05.13.15 | I own board up the house on clear w/ splatter vinyl. Very much out of print and very much rare. I spent $40 on a sealed copy assuming it wasn't limited, and I got pretty lucky. Sounds great too. |
wacknizzle
05.13.15 | Lucky, I really want that album on vinyl. Should've tried to track down a copy before they became hard to find |

|
Hopelust
05.13.15 | Glad to help dude. Price tag is a little up there, but hey, if ya want it bad enough, $100 ain't the worst.
I paid $75 for Hopesfall - The Satellite Years on vinyl a few years back. Best $75 I ever spent. |
Mort.
05.13.15 | i mean its my favorite album. tbh once its converted to uk pounds its not so bad but i get fucked over on the shipping
yeah i might go for it. will have to cut back on spending once i do tho |
Hopelust
05.14.15 | Did you wind up buyin? |
Mort.
05.14.15 | Yep. Offered him 85 instead of 100 and he accepted. In uk pounds its was overall about 75 quid. Worth it for my fav album
I cant thank you enough for pointing it out to me haha |
Hopelust
05.14.15 | Pay it forward man. Or pay it back if you ever see me searching high and low for an album and going on endlessly about it on sputnik lol.
Let me know how it is when you get it. After finding it, I went on Rdio and listened to the first half. I remember listening to it back in the day when it came out, but it was a little too alternative for what I was lookin for. Gotta admit it sounds pretty awesome now though. Much more in line with what I consider to be good music.
Mouth is a wicked song. |
MalleusMaleficarum
05.14.15 | Used to listen to Odd How People Shake a decent amount when i was 16-17 |
