11.13.15 | "I've heard xiu xiu come up on multiple occasions and have still yet to check them out..."
Warning: xiu xiu is an extremely weird band
but they are a very rewarding band once you can get into them, they basically play with the notion of extreme abrasiveness combined with catchy pop music, very emotive, deep and dark lyrically, totally off kilter and always ready to throw a curve ball at you. Angel Guts is my favourite of their releases I've heard, the weirdness of their music makes them very polarizing you will probably hate it on first listen.
They often cover weird topics but they end up feeling natural through the context of the album, an example is the fantastic song 'Cinthyia's Unisex' which is about a person spying on someone they love have a threesome through a keyhole. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2Nq8hgaRQPc |
ScuroFantasma
11.13.15 | Okay guys I'm getting through these, Futures you can be special and have 3 bands because I cant be bothered deleting and replacing. I just want to reiterate the need for genre tags, saves me some searching. And if the band has a bandcamp page etc. include it, makes it easier for everyone to find the band and saves me from looking for it later which I inevitably will. Hep Kat I have edited it - now add a band ya big baby. |

11.13.15 | Confide - Recover
One of my favorite metalcore albums ever but never received the recognition it deserved due to either the shift in sound from their first album or because that style of music was before it's time until bands like Memphis May Fire, TWA, Jamie's Elsewhere, etc. made the style very popular. Perfect proof of this is their reunion and 3rd album actually has a better rating than 'Recover' and their 3rd album is literally one of the worst things I've ever listened to.
So in conclusion. If you enjoy genericore. Which most people do, please revisit this album. It's one of the best. |

11.18.15 | @Dino love NSP so I'll definitely check that one out. To everyone else still submitting albums, keep em coming as even though they can't appear on the list people can still see them in the comments, however I do plan on doing another one of these lists next week minus the bandcamp/whatever links (in the list) because those are very tedious to add via iPad and I'm lazy. |

11.18.15 | is it okay if we add Spotify links if possible? |
Artuma
11.18.15 | anyone who has spotify can find it with just typing the album title though so what's the point? |
ScuroFantasma
11.18.15 | ^that, but yeah feel free to add the links in the comments. Whether or not they show up in the list depends heavily on how patient I'm feeling on that day. I'm not exaggerating how terrible exiting the list tab and returning to it on iPad is. |

11.30.15 | I know I've been saying this a lot lately, but Mudbeard's EP, Literally Same, has been on constant repeat for me.
It's Hardcore/Math-y/Punk-y kind of stuff. It's a lot of fun, and I dig the lyrics. |
