Radiohead Albums

My personal order from worst to best albums of my favorite band, Radiohead.
8Radiohead
Pablo Honey

You've gotta start somewhere, and post-grunge probably wasn't the best of starts, but at least
it was a start. Fun tracks like You, Anyone Can Play Guitar and Stop Whispering lift the album
from being completely dull, but it is far from their best work.
Standout Track: You
7Radiohead
Hail To The Thief

It kills me a bit to put this album so low, especially since my favorite Radiohead song of all
time is from this record. However, the overlong running time and subsequent filler songs on
this album can make it drag on, even though tracks like There, There, Myxomatosis and A
Wolf At The Door shine as bright as any other RH classic.
Standout Track: A Wolf At The Door (It Girl. Rag Doll)
6Radiohead
Amnesiac

First off, this album is not a Kid A B-sides album. It is a seperate entity that is on a similar
vein as it's predecessor, and though it certainly has some standout moments, it doesn't quite
live up to the brilliance of the albums that came before it (except Pablo Honey). I think if the
version of Like Spinning Plates from the I Might Be Wrong live album was included in this
album instead of the studio version chosen, this album could be a bit higher on the list, but
alas, the song was not included, and so the album sits at 6th.
Standout Track: You And Whose Army?
5Radiohead
The King Of Limbs

Though this album is considered a step backwards from the masterpiece that was In
Rainbows, TKOL manages to deliver some really solid tunes, with an amazing back-half of the
album to make up for a sometimes underwhelming first half (though Little By Little is a
personal favorite of mine).
Standout Track: Codex
4Radiohead
The Bends

This album may feature the best opening song AND the best closing song from any of
Radiohead's albums. The songs in between aren't quite as strong as the tracks from albums 1,
2 and 3 on this list, but The Bends still features some of their best work, such as Fake Plastic
Trees and (Nice Dream).
Standout Track: Planet Telex
3Radiohead
In Rainbows

I consider this album to almost be the lovechild of numbers 1 and 2 on this list, except 10
years after OK Computer was released and thus the band is more musically well-rounded. Any
of the top 3 albums could be number 1 on the list, but for me this just isn't quite up to the
level of OK Computer and Kid A, despite being filled with amazing tracks and a cool, raw feel.
Standout Track: All I Need
2Radiohead
Kid A

This album is not particularly easy to listen to, with even the most pop sounding tunes on the
album (Optimistic and How To Disappear Completely) being filled with eeriness and rawness.
But despite the lack of popular appeal, the album is a masterpiece. From the opening notes of
Everything In Its Right Place to the ending chords of Motion Picture Soundtrack, the album is
very close to being my absolute favorite from the band.
Standout Track: Optimistic
1Radiohead
OK Computer

I know, it's the one everyone expected to be number 1, but I seriously believe that this
albums is almost perfect from beginning to end. All the songs on the album play there part
perfectly and the mix of pop tunes such as Let Down and Karma Police as well as more
experimental efforts such as Paranoid Android and Climbing Up The Walls make this, in my
opinion, the quintessential Radiohead album.
Standout Track: Paranoid Android
