Favorite 15 Sublime Songs

My personal 15 favorite songs by Sublime. Yet again, a song's status as a hit ris not considered.
15Sublime
40 Oz. to Freedom

"Chica Me Tipo"" Honestly, Nowell is pretty sexy when he sings in Spanish. Good guitar
riff too and pickup at the end.

Sublime

"Burritos" He can be so relatable sometimes that it's scary. Plus the guitar line for most
of the solo is mainly sweet soloing.
13 Sublime
Robbin' the Hood

"Saw Red" Nowell and Gwen Stefani's duet together is fast paced, filled with crazy
drums, and most importantly it's fun as hell.

"Waiting for My Ruca" Minimalistic with a warm vibe. It works well as an opener.

Sublime

"Same in the End" Another fast packed rocker that's hard to hate. It's also a great song
to sing a long to.

"Date Rape" For a lot of people this is #1, but honestly it has a couple plot flaws. With
that said it's exciting, original, creative, and ends humorously. Well done Sublime.

Sublime

"The Ballad of Johnny Butt" One of Sublime's most interesting outlooks on drug dealers,
violence, and heroin. Depressing and catchy are a weird mix aren't they?

"Ebin" This song has a long as hell, yet interesting story:

title=Letter_from_Eben_%22Ebin%22_Sterling_About_Bradley Also more great guitar
work and cool vocal effects.

Sublime

"Caress Me Down" More Spanish, with a bit of violence thrown in. It's catchier than
"Chica Me Tipo" in my opinion. Plus that chorus is legendary. The moaning is
occasionally awkward though.

Robbin' the Hood

"Greatest-Hits" More depressing lyrics about addiction, but this time it's optimistic about
the future. Bradley Nowell's ghost for President 2016. I love the bass part on here, it's
so heavy.

Sublime

"What I Got" It's the type of song that deserves all of the acclaim it gets. No, "Santeria"
isn't on this list. It's a good song, but enough of their s/t outshines it and "What i Got" is
part of that. His personality really adds a special flavor to Sublime's music: music that
includes a simplistic, yet memorable riff that's so easy to enjoy.

"Badfish" Cool lyrics, a great solo, and more of Nowell's personality that drags you in.
Specifically, this is him showing his underbelly.
3 Sublime
Robbin' the Hood

"All You Need" By far Sublime's best fast paced song. It always gives me the urge to
dance. Plus the drums are pretty damn sweet and honestly the standout in the
instrumentation. Plus the crazy ending wraps it up perfectly.
2Sublime
Sublime

"Garden Grove" Everything about this song is Sublime being strong. Reggae mixed with
record scratching mixed with strong personality mixed with the sprinkle of weirdness
Sublime likes to use on occasion.

"Right Back" This was a grower for sure, but once it hit it rose to the top fast. The
backup falsetto "holiday" coupled with Nowell's surprising optimism make the chorus
basically perfect. The drums are catchy, the bass thumps along, and sometimes this
song gets to me. Also, like many other bright Sublime moments it has a great pickup at
the end that isn't excessive or too similar to other ones that Sublime has done.
