12.14.18 | skimmed through it and generally you did a good job on the production however just a couple of observations for the future
1. the drums could be a lot more dynamic, currently they are very flat. try and find ways to bring the brightness up for your high frequency parts of the kit and add some more delay and reverb to your low end (and if you can afford it hire a better drum kit)
2. there are a couple of moments where vocals clash with each other (i noticed this especially on the first track) - try and eq them apart from each other
3. generally it could do with sounding richer and wider - idk how much you and your bandmates know about production aspects, but this has some fairly good tips for achieving stereo width https://www.musicradar.com/how-to/6-ways-to-generate-stereo-width-in-your-mixes - panning is a very useful production skill for reference, but it takes practice to get right
4. vocals could be more powerful and less breathy at parts
i'd like to add though that this is one of the best-produced user albums i've heard in a long while even with those minor points (and they are minors), and musically it was pretty well-accomplished
i take it brand new was somewhat of an inspiration? |

12.14.18 | Cool, dude, Ill definitely look into those notes in the future. Its been awhile since Ive gotten good, useful advice on production, so I really appreciate it |

12.14.18 | np man, i'll try and give it a full listen when i can and give some more thorough advice
it's clear you know what you're doing for the most part though |

12.14.18 | This kind of sounds like grunge like Muhoney hmmm
Tagging your music grunge
(Well I only listened to "Wind", so maybe the rest doesn't)
Way better than Sputnik user ambient project #4,604 |

12.15.18 | Shameless evening bump
Just realized it still doesnt have artwork. I uploaded an image under 1000 pixels by 1000 pixels, it must need to be even smaller |

12.16.18 | Well I'm actually enjoying this a fair bit so far, thanks for sharing. Agree that the vocals sometimes don't mesh well and production could be improved, but it's pretty excellent as it stands. Not bad at all. |

12.16.18 | Nice, dude, thanks |

12.17.18 | thanks my dudes
Reverie and Wumbo are two of my favorites for sure. I love Clocktower, too, it was the one that just wasn't working for the longest time but then it clicked. The ending is awesome |

12.17.18 | woo the album art works finally

12.17.18 | Oh yeah, I didn't mention what's a good size, lmao. Anyway, next time just try images that are less than 500x500, those always work for me. |

12.18.18 | I'll check it, but I need to add your band to RYM first |

12.18.18 | After listening to the whole thing I’d say the weakest aspect is the vocals and lyrics because they ain’t really my style. The backup vocals are quite nice tho. The music is pretty good and performed well. Production is decent but could be a lot better with some practice. I like the songs I just wish they were a little dirtier and less melancholy because the more heavy songs got me going much more than the softer ones. 3/5 |
SandwichBubble
12.18.18 | I can't give any meaningful feedback on production because shittily-produced music is my MO, so I'll skip that.
Performances were good, lyrics weren't that jarring. Vocals varied from good to a bit much in places. Overall, pretty good! |
wwf
12.18.18 | Oo what sexy man did the backup vocals on this album
o it was me
Thanks for checking it out, guys |
