11.14.15 | one album per band, in no order because t'would be impossible to rank
might've missed some by accident, but i tried to get a healthy mix of classic/modern/hidden gems |

11.14.15 | tanx guys
@brandewbac what are your faves? like I said I've probably missed plenty, this could've been 2 lists tbh
@school 89 is pretty much darkwave, which stems from post punk; 90 is pretty much dance with a post punk/disco edge. might've overstepped a wee bit but I think they fit. unless you were talking about quality, in which case i'd wholeheartedly disagree with you |

Anyway mods feature this |
altertide0
11.14.15 | a post-punk album from 2015 (Viet Cong)? how is that even possible? also an excellent Nick Cave choice (muuuuch better than the overrated Tender Prey) and many, many kudos for Red Krayola - glad I'm not the only person here to have heard it (or am I? You haven't rated it). |
TheWrenKing
11.14.15 | @sinternet thanks guy, anyway knew I was pushing it with Wolfe, oh well.
@altertide Viet cong is my fave from this year (so far) so I felt like I had to include it. Eternity is my favourite cave album, for nostalgia reasons and for how it resembles his earlier work with the birthday party. Kangaroo is the only red krayola/art I've heard, was actually my first encounter with krayola too. Don't know why I haven't rated it yet, gotta get on that |
TwigTW
11.14.15 | Very nice list: some old, some new, and some in-between. |

75 is legit perfect |
Archael
11.14.15 | Wish I dug that one. It's almost not even post punk tbh. |
TheWrenKing
11.14.15 | tru, it's almost too straight-forward to be post punk, but it still has a hint of something more the transcends it into a classic
why don't you dig it cyg? |
ArsMoriendi
11.14.15 | Is Big Black really considered post punk? Hmm.... good list though. |
NeroCorleone80
11.14.15 | yeah some of these aren't post-punk but list rules regardless |
Archael
11.14.15 | honestly not sure. it's punk and forward thinking (yet still basically 'pop) in some unique and odd way but nothing about it really grabs me. i do recall like their next two albums more, but i should revisit those as well. |
Archael
11.14.15 | also 68 is suuuuuuper fun times. my fav proto-indie probably. |
TheWrenKing
11.14.15 | 68's probably one of the most enjoyable albums i've ever heard, fantastic production too |

02.10.21 | The capacity of human intelligence seems to limit the capabilities to expand upon any possible creative aptitudes. Indeed, if one cannot even notice the facets that the ingenuities around him are comprised of, how can he be expected to fashion a beast of his own? This inveterate sense of constraint is a great blow to the veracity of mankind’s abilities. It restrains us and holds our minds to the ground below, averting any possibility of rising above ourselves to something greater; something not fathomed by the conventional mind. This concept of seeking to go beyond one’s self, known as “transcendence”, is essentially a gateway to unlocking pieces of ourselves that can lead to some of the most elaborate and significant creations of our world. For many, this quest to transcend and form creations that were once considered unthinkable and overwhelming consumes life. Certainly it is rare to find such people, but when they are found, creative barriers are destroyed. |
