| A7X ranked | 8 | | Avenged Sevenfold Hail to the King
One of the most boring albums ever
Favorite track Coming Home | 7 | | Avenged Sevenfold Sounding the Seventh Trumpet
Kinda boring, just Waking The Fallen with more shitty screaming
Favorite track Thick And Thin | 6 | | Avenged Sevenfold Waking the Fallen
Too long, screamed vocals suck ass, and it’s not as energetic and melodic as City of Evil. Idk why people suck this album off
Favorite track Clairvoyant Disease | 5 | | Avenged Sevenfold Avenged Sevenfold
Half of this is the band’s best album, the rest is too butt rock sounding for me. The REV’s vocals are my favorite addition here.
Favorite track Afterlife, the band’s best song | 4 | | Avenged Sevenfold Nightmare
The REV wrote most of this album and it shows. Still has the same vibe as the ones before it, only with a more mature and focused sound. Really love this album, even though there are maybe too many ballads in the back half
Favorite track Welcome To The Family | 3 | | Avenged Sevenfold Life Is But A Dream...
One of the strangest albums I have heard from a major rock band like this. Almost completely inaccessible, and is genuinely experimental, and will surely alienate a majority of their fans. Instrumentally this album is tight and impressive, and Shadows sounds fantastic whenever he refrains from doing that odd old man voice. This jumps around so many styles and prances through a bunch of odd times at a break neck pace, one moment there will be a jazz jam session, the next second it will break into a Daft Punk sounding track, then some thrashy stuff. I was not bored once listening to this, and I respect the hell out of it. Was not a fan of Nobody or Beautiful Morning, otherwise this was really entertaining.
Favorite track G | 2 | | Avenged Sevenfold The Stage
Production kinda blows imo. But this thing is brilliant. Not a weak track here
Favorite track Simulation | 1 | | Avenged Sevenfold City of Evil
Varied and energetic with some phenomenal melodies and instrumentation. Love the vocal harmonies on this. City of Evil is basically the first album I ever listened to, with Bat Country being the first song I ever noticed as a kid.

06.01.23 | Will always have a soft spot for this band, sad they always get lumped into the Five Finger Death Punch crowd, when they’ve always been much more creative and varied in their sound. | Flugmorph
06.01.23 | more like Avenged SevenGOLD heh best band ever | GreyShadow
06.01.23 | 6 is low but cool ranking. really digging 3 so far, just wish there was one more huge hitter after G to round it all out. not sure where it is in my rankings yet
Nightmare > The Stage > WTF > CoE > S/T > STST > HTTK

06.01.23 | "One of the strangest albums I have heard from a major rock band like this" is a great way to put it too | Brabiz
06.01.23 | It doesn’t feel tacky or lame like the new Slipknot album either, feels like the band was actually inspired to make this. They’ve always had that strong Mike Patton influence to their sound, so it was cool to hear them go overboard into the wild side of their stuff. | Muppelope
06.01.23 | Ngl I don't mind the new slipknot album. It's certainly not one of their best, but it's mostly fine. I do like the new a7x better though. At least they're trying something new. | Brabiz
06.02.23 | I think I might like The Stage the most. May have to rearrange this list. | Trebor.
06.02.23 | A7X is the kind of band I can tolerate like 3 songs at a time but their albums are like fucking 70 minutes long |
