Been having a blast with Street Fighter 6 since it came out! I am very new to this genre of fighting game (I’m at least competent in smash) so I suuuuck, but I’ve been practicing every day and am possibly getting better? So are you playing? What do you think of the game? Who’s your main? I’m trying to find some people to play with (maybe at my lack of skill level) so let me know what you think! | 1 | | Soundtrack (Video Game) Street Fighter II The Definitive Soundtrack
I’m maining Ken currently, I used Ryu in smash a lot in preparation for the game, but opted for Ken cuz I like what he’s capable of. I’m definitely interested in picking up someone a bit less standard, but right now I’m just trying to get used to the game with what I’m familiar with. | 2 | | Soundtrack (Video Game) Street Fighter III: 3rd Strike
World Tour mode is kinda bad but it functions well as an intro to the real game. It’s nice to be able to practice my schmoves without getting railed 1000 times online. I just unlocked the Ugg Boots so it’s truly all up from here. | 3 | | Soundtrack (Video Game) Street Fighter IV
I’m really looking forward to the DLC characters! I think all of the first wave will fit in really well, especially looking forward to A.K.I. and Akuma. Having fun speculating who could make the cut in future waves as well. Looks like they’re choosing some Street Fighter 5 characters, which it’ll be nice to see them have a glow-up in an actually good game. There’s so many options between SF2-4 though, so there’s a lot to anticipate! I’d really like to see Sagat, Dudley and M. Bison. | |

06.17.23 | Yeah and it’s better than ever fr, especially after SFV was basically a failure | pizzamachine

06.18.23 | I’m waiting for that budokai tenkaichi and armored core. This is getting passed over | Mort.
06.18.23 | dont have it myself yet but ive played it on my mates account a fair bit
im not massively proficient at fighting games but i understand the basics enough to win some online matches. so far im interested in learning cammy, luke and ryu
overall it seems like a very very good fighting game. last one i played a lot of was dragonball fighterz, and thats a very different sort of game where getting hit once means youre losing a lot of health. street fighter is a lot more noob friendly | Oneironaut
06.18.23 | I've been playing since launch (very casually! I don't even play ranked online yet) but am lame and main Ryu just because I've known how to use him forever. I really like Dhalsim and E. Honda, Sammy looks real fun to use too. Overall it's a super dope game! | bellovddd
06.18.23 | street fighter 2 was the best game. | daiguit91Kider
06.19.23 | Hey! I'm playing Manon, really fun character, my name on the game is KidEi if you want to play. | NorwichScene
06.19.23 | Street Fighter II Turbo, classic. Didn’t realise 6 was out tbh | IsisScript80
06.19.23 | Last SF game I played was 4, which I really enjoyed. This is getting very well reviewed, but by looking at it, I'm finding a problem that no-one I've seen mention... too much shit on screen.
I feel alone in this, but does anyone else think that the particle effects, pyrotechnics, in-game camera cuts and the like are too much? I know this ended up being iterative, to differentiate it from a formula perfected 30 years ago, but I literally have trouble now keeping track of the action when there's flashy explosions on screen every 2 fucking seconds.
One of the joys about the classic games was how everything was presented with precise clarity, and technological limits were used as an advantage to great effect.
I feel the same having watched the new Tekken trailers... throwing every damn particle effect onto the screen in an effort to make an old formula look "modern" to the point I can no longer track the action. Again, I've seen no-one else raise this complaint. | bellovddd
06.19.23 | mortal kombat changed fighting games. made everything about how gory it could be instead of fun fighting. dont get me wrong i enjoy mortal kombat but everything has just copied it now. | Mort.

na im not having trouble with it at all. Youd really fucking hate dragonball fighterz. trying to work out whats going on when each player is using assists, firing off projectiles and teleporting is a nightmare | IsisScript80
06.19.23 | ^ Yeah, it's a phenomenon I'm finding with a lot of modern fighting games... and that DBZ in particular... I love what Arc System Works do with anime cel-shaded graphics, but tracking the action I'm finding harder and harder to the point of being off-putting. | nol
06.19.23 | one benefit I see to the flashiness of this game (and DBZ, Guilty Gear etc.) is I find those types of attacks are way easier to remember as a beginner. I try playing some of the classics and every character just has an assortment of punches and kicks with subtle differences it’s really hard to keep track of. I know that’s something I need to get used to cuz that still holds true in SF6 despite the array of flashy attacks.
My favorite old school fighting game is marvel v Capcom 2 and that game has the nuttiest, most screen filling attacks ever. | nol
06.19.23 | I like how the universal mechanics like drive impact, rush, parry and overdrive are all color coded. Makes registering what’s happening on the screen in your brain much easier. | nol
06.19.23 | @daiguit: Let’s do it! I’ll figure out how to add you, I think my in game name is Noland but I’ll have to check | Madbutcher3
06.19.23 | yeh this game is sick. enjoying deejay a lot, nice to have a character built very heavily around weird movement mixups with his cross up/fake crossups and shimmies |
