(but i'll literally murder you if i don't intellectually murder you)" to the nth degree in terms of haters and the "us against them" brotherhood... its actually such a brutal and bloody and real form of expression and belonging they allude to when they paint pictures of life and strife in ny etc. i have family from new york state and Massachusetts so i've spent a lot of time in the area over the course of my life and I've always been kind of fascinating by the oppressive and expressive smog of ny inequity with its hidden dreams and nightmares. maybe i can more realistically sympathize with the THIS IS HOW WE CHILL FROM '93 TIL west coast vibes more than anything but at the same time, i empathize with the east coast story more, and empathy is an entirely different emotional beast you know?

foxblood 04.29.18	yes that's true. typically I prefer g-funk mostly because of that. Quas does have more in common with east coast sampling, as does madvillainy. those are the two best examples of sampling I've heard. Liquid swords too of course. but otherwise sampling is usually not my thing
