11.15.20 | This isn't a controversial list here, but admittedly I listen to Let it Be more than I do Revolver. |
ArsMoriendi
11.15.20 | 2 > 4 > 5 > Rubber Soul > 3 > 1 > Let It Be |
Pangea
11.15.20 | revolver is easiliy the best for me
my top 5 would be:
revolver
magical mystery tour
rubber soul
abbey road
help |
widowslaugh123
11.15.20 | Revolver is mid tier list needs rubber soul |
TheAntichrist
11.15.20 | missing rubber souls but hard to argue with these despite not being a big beatles fan |
Colton
11.15.20 | that Love album is awesome and I completely forgot about it until now, was probably 12 last time I heard it. might have to dive in for a nostalgic re-listen |
Colton
11.15.20 | I remember it had a crazy version of one of the Abbey Road medley songs |
Ryus
11.15.20 | revolver, rubber soul, and sgt pepper are the big three with magical mystery tour comin in 4th
psychedelic beatles> |
Colton
11.15.20 | yeah basically ^
would maybe put MMT above RS |
zakalwe
11.15.20 | 1. Peppers
2. Abbey
3. Revolver
4. White
5. Rubber |
nol
11.15.20 | 1) White Album
2) Abbey Road
3) Sgt. Pepper
4) Revolver
5) Rubber Soul
6) Help!
7) Magical Mystery Tour (I just don’t even see this one as an album fr)
8) Let it Be (yes, it belongs that low)
9) Hard Day’s Night
10) the rest of their boy band stuff |
nol
11.15.20 | I like older Beatles as much as the next guy, but rating anything pre-Help before anything post-help is tragic |
nol
11.15.20 | Yeah, anything that came before Help! Help is a weird transitional record. Has some of their best songs, but also still very much leaning into boy bandiness. |
Colton
11.15.20 | hey noler
delete your list |
nol
11.15.20 | LOVE is cool. The mash-up of Within You, Without You/Tomorrow Never Knows is incredible and was my first introduction to both of those songs. So hearing them by themselves is still a little weird to me. |
nol
11.15.20 | No, my list is gospel, i am the greatest post Help! Beatles fan on the face of the earth, and I have spoken. |
Colton
11.15.20 | just delete it bro trust |
nol
11.15.20 | i made it bigger |
Pangea
11.15.20 | i prefer hard days night over some of their later stuff tbh. it's an excellent pop album |
nol
11.15.20 | especially the title track (HDN). Best song they did before Yesterday. |
Colton
11.15.20 | Ticket To Ride though |
Pangea
11.15.20 | things we said today is a top 10 beatles song |
nol
11.15.20 | Did ticket to ride come before yesterday? If so, yeah that slaps too. Paperback Writer is also an awesome single that showed that they didn’t just write songs for bad bitches |
nol
11.15.20 | Another great earlier track is “Yes it is”
For red is the color that my baby wore... |
gschwen
11.15.20 | "7) Magical Mystery Tour (I just don’t even see this one as an album fr)"
Are you confusing Yellow Submarine with this one? MMT is like... one of their best. |
nol
11.15.20 | No. Magical Mystery Tour was a pretty slapdash effort strictly from an album perspective. It was an attempt to repackage 5 (amazing) singles into an album. They should’ve just stuck with singles. It’s not that the songs are bad (literally every single song is great except MAYBE Your Mother Should Know), it’s that they don’t have the same intention and juxtaposition as, say, Abbey Road or Sgt. Pepper or The White Album. |
Colton
11.15.20 | Your Mother Should Know is a fucking rager |
nol
11.15.20 | Like the opener of MMT is such a poor man’s version of Sgt. pepper’s opener (and closer) |
nol
11.15.20 | White Album is just another level than all their albums man. You call it unfocused, I call it encompassing the entire spectrum of Music (as of 1968) |
nol
11.15.20 | Do yourself a favor and turn the White Album on next time you do the Psychedelic drug of your choice. |
zakalwe
11.15.20 | MMT is not a proper album, it’s a compilation used as a soundtrack. |
ReturnToRock
11.15.20 | Solid choices apart from Revolver.
I'd probably go White > Abbey Road > Sgt Pepper > Beatles For Sale > ...Tour maybe? |
nol
11.15.20 | I am in love with 29/30 songs on the White Album, and that is why it’s my favorite.
Not just cause it’s long lmao |
nol
11.15.20 | Can you guess which one I’m not in love with? |
nol
11.15.20 | I also really enjoy the song-to-song flow of the white album. |
nol
11.15.20 | It’s revolution 9, obviously (the one song off self-titled that I’m not fond of) |
Colton
11.15.20 | Wild Honey Pie |
ReturnToRock
11.15.20 | numba 9
numba 9

11.15.20 | Bro I love that shit. Beatles un-fuckin-hinged
HONAYE PIIIIIIIIIEEEEE |
nol
11.15.20 | No musical spectrum is complete without a demon hillbilly song ! |
gschwen
11.15.20 | I would’ve guessed Wild Honey Pie too |
nol
11.15.20 | wanna hear my acoustic cover of Rocky Raccoon from like 4 years ago? not a whole lot to it, but I had fun with it. Obviously love that song. It gets better near the end.

11.16.20 | I'm a rabid Beatles fan but, weirdly, have never thought about this, so:
1. Revolver (Delete 'Yellow Submarine' for a flawless album)
2. Abbey Road (Interchangeable with 'Revolver', really)
3. Sgt. Pepper's
4. Magical Mystery Tour (Carried by some insanely strong singles)
5. Rubber Soul (Weighed down by some weak Ringo / George tracks)
6. Let It Be
7. White Album (Unpopular opinion, but there's SO much filler)
8. Help
(Steep dip in consistency below here)
9. Hard Day's Night
10. With The Beatles
11. Please Please Me ('Ask Me Why' is criminally underrated)
12. Beatles For Sale ('Eight Days a Week' is top-tier jangle-pop, though)
13. Yellow Submarine (Essentially a George Martin record) |
tombits
11.16.20 | Definitely worth wading through the 'Past Masters' compilation too, by the way. Some of the best and most important Beatles tracks were released as singles / b-sides: 'This Boy', 'I Feel Fine', 'Day Tripper', 'Paperback Writer', 'Rain', etc. |
ReturnToRock
11.16.20 | @tombits
'Delete 'Yellow Submarine'
...why you gotta do my favourite Beatles song dirty like that? :( |
Closk
11.16.20 | My first beatles experience was actually love so its been great to get into the above albums and see what parts of what songs were mixed into eachother. It's a great listen. Probably a perfect introductory album. |
Closk
11.16.20 | Seriously. Honestly it's great. Very clever, takes snippets of various songs and mixes together effortlessly. It's a great way of getting a feel of the whole beatles catalog in one single sitting. As I said previously I got into it prior to seeing beatles cirque du soleil in Vegas. After seeing the show I love it even more. |
nol
11.16.20 | It's great for newcomers of the Beatles, as well as people who've heard all their albums 100 times and are just looking for a new perspective to the songs. Love is all you need! |
