04.02.24 | ya, well he's been continuing creating these elaborate systems combining notation and improvisation, starting in the mid-90s with ghost trance music, and now this seems to be the sixth one (not counting subspecies or multidisciplinary stuffs)
his notated compositions are not generated, but he uses interactive electronics as a secondary participant. this has been a mainstay in his output for a long time now, and i doubt it's an essential component of lorraine. these comps could most likely be performed without including electronics, as has been the case with previous systems |
