digs and recommendations, for you and me

year is coming to a close. Many good albums have come out this year, and it seems like an appropiate time to ask for some stuff i might have missed. What i like? check out the list, check out my other lists, check out my ratings, et all. Here's some recent digs.
1diSEMBOWELMENT
Transcendence into the Peripheral

this is interesting. Wish it was a little more... uuuuuh... something. It's cool, tho.
2Rx Nephew
Make Drunk Cool Again

3 words: HOPE YOU DIE
3Hayden Pedigo
Letting Go

country ambient
4Fief
IV

amazing stuff, seriously love this.
5Silk Sonic
An Evening with Silk Sonic

this really made me realize my complaints about last year's jessy ware were kinda cringe. Pop music's history is a well ripe to dive into for anyone, at anytime. When you put time into perspective, it's really fascinating how short-lived whole music genres are. Curation, catalogueing, restoration, re-vamping, it's all result of the same love, the same drive. Soul is an amazing genre, full of potential, and if someone can spread it across the globe, with today's production and sound, with most of its idiosincracy and essence un-spoiled, then that's something to celebrate. Will it end up being over-played at malls, supermarkets and shit public events? sure, yet i still choose to not be so cynical. I dunno, i like it a lot.
6George Brigman
Jungle Rot

garage blues. Urban music.
7Demon Fuzz
Afreaka!

needs review asap.
8Rx Papi and Gud
Foreign Exchange

while nephew may have dropped a couple AOTY material this year, Papi's collab with Gud is objectively good. Pap's delivery and raw-ness is refreshing, and Gud's production is probably his best work so far. Def check out, these guys are bringing real back.
9The Fallen Angels
It's a Long Way Down

psych rock. Baroque pop.
10Dorothy Ashby
Soft Winds

mushroom jazz
