Sharkattack
05.03.18 | Now that you got the first one out the way you should start attending better shows |
Drifter
05.03.18 | I've been to one show and it was Tool last June m/ |
Sharkattack
05.03.18 | I’m assuming the 97 in your name is in reference to the year you were born so there’s hope for you yet youngster |
Drifter
05.03.18 | How old are you shark? |
Danred97
05.03.18 | The main reason I never go to shows is because I live nowhere near any shows. I had to drive 3 1/2 hours to see this one.
@Sharkattack Eh, I liked it. DGD and UO are two of my favorite bands, so to check them off my list of artists I want to see live in one show was a great night for me. Yeah, VoM are a bit generic, but they put on a good live show at least. |
Drifter
05.03.18 | Shrk y r u bing meen I thot u wer col |
Sharkattack
05.03.18 | I’m not trying to be mean I’m just saying this guy could be young and that’s ok because I liked terrible music when I was young |
Drifter
05.03.18 | I'm young |
Sharkattack
05.03.18 | I rest my case haha no just kidding drift. Although we do have way different tastes I think |
Drifter
05.03.18 | Having no girlfriend means having a lot of time for music and music history |
Danred97
05.03.18 | @Sharkattack Yeah, it looks like aside from both of us rating mwY highly, there's no real overlap in our music taste so we can agree to disagree about the quality of music I listen to. Btw yes the 97 refers to the year I was born. I went to the show a couple days before my 21st. Still thanks for responding anyway. |
DinosaurJones
05.03.18 | As you can see exemplified by Sharkattack, age is no indication of maturity. |
Drifter
05.03.18 | yeah shark you should change that. I hope one day you realize that east coast is vastly inferior to west coast rap |
Drifter
05.03.18 | tbh shark I have no idea what you listen to besides the fact you don't dig gfunk much (which is a problem) |
Drifter
05.03.18 | I didn't ignore you?? |
Sharkattack
05.03.18 | I listen to a lot of shit but I am extremely particular. However I’m always open to try most things out. Are you from the west coast drift? Part of the reason I prefer east is because I grew up on the west side and that’s all everyone ever listened to. When I hear east coast shit it sounds new to me. |
Drifter
05.03.18 | yeah I live in the heart of California but people my age don't listen to it really except for one of my friends.
I just find most east coast boring. Biggie is my fav |
Sharkattack
05.03.18 | Shut up dinosaur jones you buttface I’m like so mature. |
SteakByrnes
05.03.18 | I decided against going to this tour because of Erase Me, and I don't really want to go to a show just to see one band. I'd much rather go to the tour with Erra and Dance Gavin Dance
However, cool that you liked the show my guy, go to more shows because they're dope |
Drifter
05.03.18 | they should if theyre cute like me sir hootie |
Danred97
05.03.18 | @SteakByrnes Yeah if you didn't like Erase Me, you probably shouldn't go on this tour. They played 13/14 songs and about 6-7 of them were from Erase Me. Spencer was really cool. He talked about the meaning behind the lyrics of Bloodlust, which was pretty damn heavy to hear. Not sure I'll go see UO again during this album cycle, but I definitely enjoyed it. |
Sharkattack
05.03.18 | Honestly danred you are gonna get shit for what you like no matter what so you might as well jam what you like |
bloc
05.03.18 | I don't like going to concerts that much. My very first one was Protest the Hero, Tesseract, and Maylene and the Sons of Disaster back in 2011 or 2012 |
DinosaurJones
05.03.18 | I don't really like concerts that much either. I have to REALLY want to see the entire lineup, or almost all of it.
I like my personal space, and I'm going to a show to enjoy the music, not have to fight for my spot and, on occasion, my life. |
bloc
05.03.18 | And on top of that, I do prefer big arena shows where I can sit down versus standing up for hours with the smell of sweat and marijuana in the air lol |
Sharkattack
05.03.18 | I wish shows were rowdy and smelly like they used to be. Lately I feel like everyone is too cool to show they are enjoying the music. And about the whole I want to like every band playing thing... like isn’t that one way to get into new music? Seeing a band live you’ve never heard of? |
SteakByrnes
05.03.18 | I love going to shows, absolutely love the environment |
Feather
05.04.18 | danred this is an awesome first concert... mine was escape the fate and attack attack! back in the day. DGD are solid all around and although Erase Me sucked, UO are fantastic as well.
Steak you are severely limiting your concert choices to say that you arent willing to shell out 20 bucks to see one band.. it is totally worth it
bloc and darius that is SUPER lame. Hate big arena shows, love tiny sweaty ones! Have some goddam fun |
bloc
05.04.18 | I don't do "fun" |
Feather
05.04.18 | Thats a lie you big bundle of joy |
SteakByrnes
05.04.18 | Feather I've done it before and regretted it, so I don't really think it's limiting. I need to want to see at least two of the bands before I shell out my muns |
Feather
05.04.18 | hmmmmm I do it constantly and end up finding new bands. Everyone is entitled to their own opinions, but all your opinions suck and mine is correct. |
Deathconscious
05.04.18 | Arena shows are the worst. Most of the time youre going to be watching from a screen, so you might as well watch it at home on youtube. Small venues are the best. Its much more personal. |
SteakByrnes
05.04.18 | Small venues > large venues
Bars are the best shows tbh, when they shove like 300-500 in a bar for a show oof |
Feather
05.04.18 | Finally, 2 opinions I can get behind!
Small venues > large venues [3] |
bloc
05.04.18 | I am an arena man |
