Fuff24 04.23.12	Not quite; Funk-Rock is alot older than that and Funkadelic (or Hendrix) arguably defined it first. Not that I don't love Angel Dust, I just do not think it "Defined" the genre

Hendrix was probably the first guitarist who influenced Funk to such a degree, as well as, a hell a lot of other genres too. But i think there are other elements in his first 3 iconic albums more dominating than the funky ones.
